A bad experience all around with poor communication. If you’re staying one night, I’m sure it’s great. However, a week stay is far too long with the minimal storage and no cleaners on staff. The bed is hard and the sheets are rough.
They have a phone number to call posted on the bathroom mirror if you want to pay £24 to get your room cleaned. I call it, and they tell me this property doesn’t have cleaning. I noted why I called the number (the sign in the bathroom literally says call this number for your room to be cleaned) and after a twenty minute call, which is long distance for me and there is no in-room phone, I’m asked what time the following day I would like the room cleaned.
Four hours later, I receive an email from Sonder asking me to confirm the time that I’m planning on cleaning my room. Confused, I asked why am I spending £24 to clean my own room? I also already confirmed the time when I called so this email seemed unnecessary. An hour after this, I get a call from Sonder asking me to confirm the time I would like my room cleaned.
I wouldn’t stay in a Sonder hotel again, unless I was doing a one night stay.
