The historical, character building has such charm. Our room had maintenance issues which couldn't be fixed in time for our arrival, but Sue more than made up for it and we were very happy with the alternative room assignment.

Nice hotel close to the wharf area

We stayed at the self catering rooms which are across the street from the hotel and reception. The room was a good size and the kitchen was adequate. The bathroom could use some updates, no hooks to hang your clothes and no floor mat when you step out of the shower. The staff were so very helpful, upon check in we asked about a gym (they don't have one) but the lady advised of one that was up the street that would allow guests for short periods which worked out great for us. I had made a mistake in short changing us one night short of when our flight was going and the lady at the reception was very efficient in booking us in for the extra night that we required.

Really really great, spotless, very spacious room with bathroom and kitchenette , very central, quiet , classic well maintained interior with the winding stairs (elevator’s available too), definitely would stay here again

Great location in Hobart CBD and large sized rooms that allowed for a very comfortable stay. You can't beat the location as it is across the road from Elizabeth Street shopping mall and an easy walk down to the Harbour and more restaurants. Staff were very communicative both on the phone and via email. Will stay here again next time I am in Hobart.

Confession. Because the windows were all sealed in my studio, I checked out 5 minutes after checking in. I don't do airless accommodation. A terrifically helpful front desk manager gave me a huge apartment in their Trinity Quest accommodation instead. Just book there. It's only a 15 minute walk into Hobart and has a washing machine, drier, bathtub, hairdrier, microwave, simple to use oven, large refrigerator, full opening windows in all rooms, blackout curtains, zero noise, tea and coffee, all cooking implements, an electric frying pan, electric blankets...and there's more. I would never have thought of staying here but it's just superb, with a view of the mountain when you walk out in the morning.
