We had an amazing time at Crown Reef! Our room was spacious and had everything that we needed! We loved the option of the kitchen to cook our basic breakfast and lunch! We love the water slides, lazy river and pools and hot tubs! There was a lot of space, so it never felt crowded! It was very easy to drive down to the strip to see the sights, but truthfully, you didn’t even feel the need to leave! The beach right out front was gorgeous with beautiful sand as well! We spent our days soaking up the sun! Crown reef is beautiful and perfect for an affordable family holiday! We will be back for sure, and highly recommend it!

The good things: -Good water park for the kids (lazy river was nice and long, slides were fun, lots of pools and hot tubs) -Good access to the beach -The full kitchenette was convenient The bad things: -HUGE cockroach in our room (the body was 2 inches long, my 12 year old couldn't sleep after seeing it) -Old, dinged up furniture. Beds and pillows were sunken in and too soft. -We weren't provided a change of towels until the day before we left (we were there for 6 nights) -No housekeeping services while we were there (beds left unmade, no garbage taken out) -We were told at check-in that someone would call us when our room was ready (admittedly we tried to check in before 4pm). Even though other people were given their keys at check-in, we had to wait. We waited 4 hours with no call. I went back to the front desk to ask about our room. Our room WAS ready. We wasted our first afternoon in Myrtle Beach waiting, and they were delinquent in communicating with us. -Our room keys weren't programmed for the duration of our stay (we had to go back to the reception desk across the street to get our keys reprogrammed) -Housekeeping knocked on our door before 11am. I told her we were on our way out, but she said she wasn't coming in. So then I asked her if we could have a change of towels, and she said we had to call the front desk for that. So why was she knocking on my door if she's not cleaning? Unfortunately, I don't think we'd come back.

Is a wonderful place to stay especially with kids, I did not like was that they tried to get you to sign up for an open house, but did not explain it as they wanted you to own part of the property to vacation at.

We didn't enjoy the restroom situation on the ground floor. Similar to an outhouse, not what we had in mind for a vacation. The people here though are lovely. Had a wonderful experience with a woman from housekeeping, Vanessa. We locked our key in the room and she helped us out bigtime.

I like the area where is located. I was desapointed with the cleaning, I had someone drilled 7 in the morning over my head on my last day and I got someone from the front desk that was not nice to understand my issued plus never call me back. I was expecting service to be good and high quality for hotel overall. I would not recommend or stay again.

Lots of amenities especially for the kids. Bar/restaurant was disappointing, great food but closed early and no atmosphere at all. Overall hotel very dated. Elevators, paint jobs, rooms, needs an update for sure. Then it will be great!

The property was great!! Washrooms were dated but very clean. Absolutely beautiful looking out at the ocean. Amazing pool areas super clean. Only downfall was the pool washroom was a porta trailer. Also stairs need a facelift. Overall great property we will go back!!!

The resort is definitely a place for families. The pool area was great. The access to the beach was awesome. The only minor complaint is the elevators. There as always seemed to be one or two out of service and we had to share with the cleaning staff, making them full quite often. The elevators themselves were fairly dirty. The rooms were great though.
