We spent 2 weeks at Code Apartments and were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the comments about the safety of the area and the cleanliness. Mike and his staff were amazing and very attentive when we had questions. Pool is small but not used much by many so we had it to ourselves most days. Apartment is a 5 minute walk to Bowen Hills station and then 2 stops to Central Station which was convenient. Only downfall was the shower had a bit of mold and room smelled a bit when we got there but a spray of my perfume solved it quickly...lol We would definately stay there again when we are in Brisbane and would ask for #801 again....overlooks the front of the apartment for beautiful sunsets

You get what you pay for

Apartment was well priced and well located relative to the city, which should have been a bit of a flag. Inside the property seemed rundown with scuffed walls and old carpets. It had been cleaned on the surface but had issues like a grimy shower head and and stains on upholstry, stuff you may not notice right away. Staff were nice enough and helpful when i checked out early. If you just need a place to crash for cheap it'll do but if you want comfort and a good neighbourhood i wouldnt recommend

Nice spot near exhibition grounds and just a short walk to the trains. Easy trip downtown and back. Groceries, wine and good food within 2 minute walk. Cheers

It was ok

The good: 5 min walk to train and bus station, 2 train stops away from central Brisbane, beautiful view from 8th floor, friendly staff, comfortable bed The bad: our room had multiple broken items - including the glass patio door and the towel rack - and the hotel was unable to move us to another room until our last night (which by then, who cared), the carpets were dirty, the phone in the room didn't work so you couldn't even call down to reception, and the Wi-Fi is only free for the first 500mb/day no matter how many people are using it.

Very Spacious Apartment Room

Very Spacious and relatively convenient location. The only issue we had was that the room smelled of lingering smoke or something to that nature. It was bothersome, but didn't request to have the room changed since we were only staying 1 night.

Pretty poor. Staff at check in were lacking professionalism & costumer service skills. Our room had an unpleasant odour with an overpowering smell of disinfectant (or similar) to mask the underlying smell. Lounge suite had various stains. Do yourself a favour & just don’t.

Nothing like the photos

This property is not well represented by the pictures it provides. Neither the hotel nor our room looked anything nearly as nice as they presented in photos, leaving me feeling like I was tricked. The front desk staff were surly and unpleasant, the room wasn’t just a little dated…it was shabby. The carpet was worn down around the bed, there were large gouges in the wall and the pressboard furniture was coming apart. I didn’t want to walk on the carpet barefoot. I would not go back.

The place didnt feel clean from the moment we entered, we went to make a coffee and there was a used tea bag inside the kettle The carpets looked dirty, the dish rack was on top of the fridge covered in thick layer of dust, their was an iron but no ironing board The bedroom looked like an asylum, everything was white, no extra pillow or blankets, bed had 2 white pillows and a white sheet, the place needed some art work or colour, we have never stayed anywhere like this place, we had to pay extra 15 dollars a night when we got there to park under in building parking, only 2 hour street parking on street, everytime we got back to hotel, someone had parked in our spot, we asked at reception, they gave us new spots, that had others parked in them, was a lot of backward and forward to reception, the guy asked the lady to help us, she couldnt be bothered, the normal response from a gen z, The hotel was in good spot easy to get to from the motor ways. Can walk to into city, lots of cafes along the way.

Expected better.

Very basic room. No art at all on the walls. Furniture falling apart. Only a frypan in the kitchenette, except for the lid for a saucepan that didn’t exist. No where to plug in the kettle except sit it on top of the microwave. Bed was fine. It was ok but for the price I paid I expected better.

It was fine for 1 or 2 nights to rest your head, but nothing more than this. Was very basic and in need of a revamp and some modernisation. Was close to a train station and we were able to cook food, but no other positives.
