If you would like a place with no amenities

When we travel we want the necessities of good service and wifi. Both were poor. The staff at the front were not friendly to me and even to the folks that were in front of us. Then going up the lift/elevator there was no air conditioning inside or in the hallway. During our stay left us with intermittent wifi. You could only receive it in certain areas of the room and only allowed for one device to be connected. This leaves your travelling partner with no access. In terms of the location you have quite a walk to the main Boundary street and train station. Be cautious when booking as this place is truly only a 3 out of 5 and that is pushing it for value.

This is a great hotel in a fabulous location.

I so enjoyed staying here. I will definitely be back. The location means it is walkable to the CBD, there are two, read 'em, TWO great eating areas in walking distance. Actually 3, if you don't mind a 20 minute walk (caxton street). And I loved the pool to cool down in after a hot humid Brisbane day :-)

nice hotel close to transport and atractions

We arrived on Sunday evening and got into our room wothout any problems. There are a lot of restaurants within 15-20 min walk. The hotel is clean and quiet.

Beautiful hotel

My boyfriend and had originally booked one night at Morgan Suites, but decided shortly after arrival to extend our stay because the place was so nice. It was exceptionally clean and very spacious. Our room had a lovely kitchenette which provided tea and coffee, there were two flat screen TVs, and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was also very nice. The outdoor pool was small but we still enjoyed a nice swim. We ate breakfast at the cafe downstairs both mornings and LOVED it. Overall, we found this hotel to be an excellent value for our money.

An apartment near the convention centre

I was in Brisbane for a conference at the convention center, a 5-10 minutes walk away. Morgan Suites offers rooms that are more apartment than hotel rooms. They offer the basic gratuities of a hotel and service/cleaning every few days, but you get a place to live that's a lot cheaper than a real hotel in the area. The room is huge though, with a bedroom (TV in front of the bed), separate living room area (with TV), balcony and great bathroom. The kitchen is a definite plus, especially with the high cost of food in Australian restaurants. You can do your groceries 5-10 minutes away and cook your own meal in the fully furbished kitchen. Be careful though, as with almost all accommodations in Queensland, reception hours are limited, so make sure you come in when the reception is still open.

Room was clean but this is not a hotel!

Although the room and staff were lovely, this is not a true hotel experience. It is a rented apartment that is off the highway and major train tracks. There is no cleaning staff for short stays and hefty cleaning fines for not doing your dishes or losing your keys. These are individually owned apartments that are rented out.
