It was good in overall. The staff is kind and polite. The place is clean, but the Bldg needs some updates. The neighbourhood is good on Insadong side but not good on Nakwon shopping side.

Stay at Orakai Insadong Suites

The location is extremely convenient and makes it an optimal place to stay. Overall my stay at Orakai Insadong Suites was good. However, the hotel can benefit from updates to the rooms (furniture was worn, walls needed repainting etc). Some of the newer rooms were clean, older rooms were not. The AC was also patchy in the older room i spent my first night. switched rooms twice for that reason. Despite this initial disappointing start of my stay, the hotel staff was extremely responsive and the next day offered a selection of rooms for me to choose from. Other small requests were immediately attended to and made the rest of my stay pleasant. I would like to acknowledge that the super service from the hotel staff was a huge factor in my pleasant stay. I would gladly return to the hotel on the condition that I am guaranteed a thoroughly clean room on the newer part of the building (>=15th floor).

The hotel is by no means a full service facility. Rooms have full kitchens but no place mats or coasters to protect wooden furniture. Rooms have washer/dryer combo but hotel does not provide our sell washing detergent. Bathrooms have no face cloths. No pad/pencil in the room. No room service. Very basic breakfast, at a cost. Beds are soft and low. Duvet not attached to duvet cover so it flops around. Duvet also a bit small for the bed (eg queen size duvet on King size bed). Small deficiencies like these can overlooked individually, but become annoying as a whole

Property met the basics; clean, safe and reasonably priced for a large 2-bedroom unit with a full kitchen. We were able to cook breakfast in the mornings and have family we were travelling with in our room after dinner to have some drinks and hang out as a group of nine people. That being said, it took a little while to get the heating in the unit at the right level as each room as their own control. We also had a walk-in closet that was ice cold and felt like there was zero insulation in the walls so we kept the door closed at all times and never used it. The beds were also too hard and the pillow (not pillows) for each of us (we were a family of 3) were way too soft making for an unpleasant sleeping experience.
