Do you dream of discovering what life in the countryside is like? There’s nothing quite like immersing yourself in our farmstay, “La famille est dans les blés.”
Come recharge and “slow down” with family or friends while enjoying the garden and the view of the forest and wheat fields.
A river runs through the property, where you can fish and take lovely walks through the fields across the 72 hectares of meadows and farmland.
The owners are passionate about flea markets and local crafts; as a result, the cottage’s kitchen features furniture from a historic butcher shop, including a range, and the paintings and photos adorning the walls form a veritable art exhibition—all available for purchase from local artists.
Depending on the season, you can experience farm work first-hand: planting, haymaking, harvesting, and more. You can take your first tractor ride or learn how a combine harvester works. Régis will answer your questions about growing different grains. Children will have fun exploring this environment, which will help them connect with nature. They’ll love building a wilderness hut in our old pond… and discovering the local flora and fauna…
Your children will have a blast learning—with guidance from the owners—how to look for clues and all the secrets of camouflage and hiding spots to observe the dance of the buzzards and catch a glimpse of other wild animals (deer, roe deer, wild boar, foxes, hares, woodpeckers…).
Every year in the spring, a baby owl comes to visit us at our window. On summer evenings, you can watch the pair that lives here.
You can take a walk around the property (meadows and fields crossed by a river) to go fishing or take photos among the wheat, hay bales, or sunflowers. Your children can explore the flora and fauna of this unspoiled area.
You’ll then step through the doors of the cottage and discover an authentic, unique farmhouse full of charm... The kitchen, equipped with a traditional range, will let you prepare your meals in the atmosphere of an old-fashioned butcher shop, while young and old alike can gather in the gym or play a game of pool.
You can learn the art of making your own cheese or yoghurt using a yoghurt maker.
Depending on the season, you can help yourself to fruit from our orchard, where you’ll enjoy mirabelle plums, apples, blackcurrants, redcurrants, plums, and grapes.
In the large dining room and its adjoining living room, you’ll find a smart TV in the living room equipped with a gaming console for your children (Nintendo Switch).
A bookshelf will be stocked with books for all ages.
