Convenient Stay
We are a family of 7 including a child and several senior citizens stayed at this home for my daughter's graduation nearby. The pros: It was very convenient to the college, a nearby park, and grocery store. It is in a nice neighborhood to walk. There is a small backyard with a sitting area and soccer ball to play. The seniors appreciated the grab bars in the shower. It fit all of us snugly. The cons: It is very basic accommodations--no amenities like cooking oil or other items. Only one kitchen towel provided, pillows were sparse, we were short one bath towel, no wash cloths. Unexpected fees not shown in the original listing (30 for the 7th guests, and property protection damage included 59). I don't know how to have opted out of the property damage. I would have preferred to have had a deposit instead.I was most disappointed about the communication with the owner. I asked him a question through the app initially at the booking but never heard back from him until we arrived 6 months later. Then I notified him when we arrived about the missing towel and did not hear back 22 hours later so I contacted VRBO. Once they were able to contact him we received a message from him about an hour later. Overall the home worked for our family, but was more basic in the accommodations and communication than we have experienced previously.
