The owners were very helpful as they met us after dark to make sure we got settled in properly. We had everything we needed to cook and make coffee and toast sandwiches for breakfast.

Unique Stay

We loved the hut. Very unique and great personal touches. The surrounding area and creek that runs by is beautiful as well. The hut is a bit of a trek from the parking lot and includes cross a wobbly man made bridge so pack light. Lastly, this is still over an hour away (wo traffic) and down the mountain from the ski resorts (Valle Nevado).

Exactly what we wanted on a ski trip. Myself and a friend stayed here for a few nights visiting Valle Nevada and La Parva. The cabin is really accessible from the city, not too far from the ski resorts, and really cozy and relaxing. Super quiet and secluded feeling area. We stocked up on groceries before arriving and enjoyed the whole trip without going into the city. The shower was hot, bed was comfy, kitchen was full of everything we needed to cook meals, and the wood stove keeps the small space quite warm. And of course the hosts are really wonderful and easy to communicate with. We will stay here again next visit!

Absolutely amazing place!

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and it was just what we needed. A beautifully designed cabin nestled just deep in the woods to be secluded yet accessible. Rustic yet with full amenities of plumbing and hot water. Close to many hiking trails or perfect for lounging in the hammock or by the fire. Loved every minute here, would highly recommend.

Wonderful Cozy Cabin

The place was lovely and scenic. Very cozy and quiet. A great getaway for peace and tranquility. The owner, Juan, was fantastic and very helpful. Convenient location on between the ski resorts ( Valle Nevado, La Parva, El Colorado) and the city of Santiago. Would stay there again!

The property was rustic and quiet, an extremely comfortable change from the city.

The cabin was small but comfortable, perfect for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped with a mini fridge, gas stove, toaster oven, lots of pots and pans, olive oil, and some seasoning. My boyfriend and I cooked both days. We had to drive into town about 20 minutes to get groceries. One thing to keep in mind was that there is a 5 minute walk to get to the cabin, and you have to cross a short suspension bridge, so pack lightly. The property is gorgeous, and there is a path up the mountain that starts right behind the cabin. It is a short drive to other hiking spots. The views were spectacular! We were able to get a late checkout, which we were so grateful for. This was the highlight of my trip to Santiago!

We've started our adventure with the cabins in Santiago, on Juan's childhood land and have now followed the road until Lonquimay, where the adventure started again, with now two kids helping us (or not..!). Why they chose this property

The Arca is halfway in between the city, Santiago and the ski centers. It is ideal to get to know Santiago downtown and at the same time to be at a 40 min drive from the ski centers, sleeping in a really peacefull, unique and quiet place!
