We chose this house as a center location for family to meet for Christmas! Loved how spacious the house is and the layout! A great house for our big family gathering!
My family and I stayed here, coming from several states. The host was extremely accommodating. The home was beautiful with amazing views. I would stay here again.
The property was just right for my husband, our two sons and I. It was nice to have so many bathrooms and bedrooms. We were all very comfortable and happy staying in what we call "Big House on the Prairie".

From the Owner: "That is a great name for the ranch I am so happy you enjoyed my home"
We stayed at this house during state fair. It was a beautiful place and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out after a long day at the fair. The only down part is how far out it is. But i was also great to have a place for trailer and trucks. We used the grill and the fire pit. Was a great stay and would recommend this house to anyone.

Beautiful Home
The house was lovely, although there were a few issues throughout our stay. Some of the rooms are extremely small.
The property is remote (dirt roads for the last several miles to get there), but worth the drive. Stock up on groceries before you arrive, because once you're there, you won't want to leave! From the front porch you have a beautiful view of the Rockies, and from the back deck (which has a nice grill) you can look out on rolling hills and fields. It's a huge place, very comfortable, with lots of room for family to be together or be separate. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The family and the management company were extremely prompt answering any questions and were a pleasure to work with. (The only thing I would suggest for going forward would be a few more staples in the kitchen, as well as some dish towels.) It's a terrific place for a gathering of friends/family, and we're grateful we had the opportunity to stay there.

From the owner: "Thank you so much for taking the time for the review. We are grateful you enjoyed our ranch! It is our pleasure to have shared our home and brings us joy knowing others can enjoy family time here as well."
It's a great house, all that's missing is attention to detail. The home needs a little TLC. Less than ideal comments first:Towels: only one bath towel was left in the master suite. And it was kind of ratty. I went around the other bathrooms and found one more towel that wasn't being used by my family. It was in pretty bad condition. It had been burnt on one corner. Pillows: I'm so glad I brought my own pillow. The ones provided were far too large and firm for my small frame Doors: some instruction on how to close and re-lock the doors would have been nice. We found them very difficult to relock once we had opened them.Window units: cold air came in constantly from around the window unit in the master suite.Kitchen sink: needs to be refinished. It's in bad shape.Baking pans: need to be replaced. I would not have used them if I had not brought aluminum foil to cover them. They are rusted and scratched. Communication: The property manager assured me I could call or text her anytime. She never responded to either of my two texts or voice messages.Shower curtain in one of the bathrooms had only a cotton curtain. It seemed like it should have had a plastic liner to keep water in the shower. We chose not to use that shower.Positives:Beautiful property and location. Views are amazing.Master bed mattress was very comfortable.Master bathroom is spacious and lovely. Water pressure in the shower was good. There were people in the basement of the house, but no issues.
Such a beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land. I would advise you hit up the grocery store and gas station before making your way down the dirt roads to the house. The closest grocery store is about 20-25 min away. The house was fairly well equipped unlike many of the vrbo rentals we have stayed before. We got hit with a big snow storm and the people living on the property (I was told relatives of the property owner) were kind enough to help us get the snow away from the car and drive cleared for us to be able to leave. The entire experience was amazing. We loved it so much we plan on returning in the summer so we can see the sites since we had to cancel most of our site-seeing due to the weather. There are two large dogs on property which worried me at first, bc we have two small chihuahuas, but they left us alone and it was enjoyable seeing them play in the snow. They enjoyed playing with the kids from a distance catching snowballs. Everyone was so nice and helpful and even gave us pointers on what to do and see while on property. Thank you for the amazing trip, we look forward to joining you again in the summer!
