Holiday rentals near Edwin Pratt Park and Fine Arts Center

Great rental for rest and relaxation over Thanksgiving weekend. Rustic cabin but impeccably clean and well-stocked. We loved making a fire - it was chilly and this heated the entire place quickly. Stop for firewood before you drive to the Kingfisher cabin at the hardware store or at roadside stops. Our adult children joined us for Thanksgiving dinner and we had everything we needed to roast our turkey and prepare everything else. There is no need to stop for groceries before boarding the ferry - the Thriftway grocery is excellent and well-stocked. Plenty of turkeys the day before Thanksgiving and they weren't out of a single thing that was on my shopping list. Speaking of the ferry, my tips are don't worry about the online schedule, just get in line, and try to avoid rush hour or you may be waiting for a second ferry. It really didn't seem to run on time at any point during our stay. But the good news is, there's always another one on the way. We had Thai food at May's Kitchen - excellent quality Thai food. Small place, you might need a reservation, we sat at the bar and it was just fine. Also had a great breakfast at Sporty's. Owner was quick to communicate - we highly recommend this rental and will try to rent it again when we return to visit our kids.
