This waterfront vacation rental is located on pastoral Vashon Island in Puget Sound. Kingfisher Cabin is only a short ferry ride away from Seattle, Tacoma or Southworth. The west-facing views of Quartermaster Harbor will delight as you lounge on the large deck, walk the beach or sit and read by the wood-burning stove.

The cedar plank cabin has a light-drenched living room with cathedral ceiling and skylight, an open kitchen and two queen bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glassware, etc. Well suited to make your own elaborate dinners or simply reheat leftovers.

The Kingfisher Cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or family retreat.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Kingfisher Cabin on Vashon. The huge deck and water views simply can’t be beat. The cabin was clean, cozy, and very comfortable for our visit. The location is also great—It’s far enough off the beaten path that you feel tucked away in a private corner of the island while quaint shops and restaurants are within a short drive. We hope to return!

This was our 3rd time staying here, we obviously go back for a reason. This property is fantastic for a very relaxing stay. The deck is amazing to sit with a book & beverage and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Vashon retreat

A quiet cottage with a great channel view and afternoon sun. Many hikes across the island (a nice quiet community). We have enjoyed it several times and look forward to future visits.

Lovely stay

We had a short girls getaway. The cabin is situated in a small quiet harbor. Very calm and quiet. We loved taking daily walks on the beach and relaxing on the large deck. The beds were decently comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We (Mark & Jessica) married and bought the Kingfisher Cabin in the same year. It was a crazy time but we wouldn't change a thing. We love being able to share our beach hideaway and introduce others to Vashon.

Why they chose this property

Jessica's mom grew up on Vashon Island and that is where her parents met. She spent many summers visiting relatives and exploring the island and is happy that her family gets to continue the tradition in their own beach cabin.

What makes this property unique

The Kingfisher Cabin is located on a quiet beach and is surrounded by trees. We almost named it the tree house. The view from inside the cabin or out on the large deck is beautiful. No matter the weather - the water makes it better.
