Luxurious, air-conditioned villa, ten minutes stroll to vibrant Eygalieres
This elegant, comfortable and fully air-conditioned villa is located in the outskirts of one of the most vibrant and authentic Provençal villages. Strolling the 700 meters into Eygalieres takes ten minutes.
Eygalieres is a lively, picturesque Provençal village offering all amenities a visitor could wish for; a bakery, excellent butcher, small grocery shop, a beauty parlour, seven restaurants (one of which has a Michelin star) and two bars.
Add to this the weekly and the very popular Friday market as well as several village manifestations throughout the year, one example being the flea market the last Sunday in every month.
The spacious villa is located in a tranquil neighbourhood of Eygalieres and is surrounded by a dense hedge offering a large degree of privacy. It offers six comfortable double bedrooms, all equipped with high quality beds and individual temperature control, five bathrooms, a dedicated entertainment room as well as a large, combined living room and kitchen tastefully decorated with Scandinavian modern art and exclusive Roche Bobois (https://www.roche-bobois.com/en-GB/) furniture.
Additional amenities include a washing room with top-of-the line Miele washing and drying appliances as well as an ironing room.
The spacious plot offers lush lawns, several Mediterranean trees and plants and many shades areas. The 10 x 5-meter heated pool is surrounded by tiled terraces extending into the spacious pool house and the fully equipped summer kitchen. The protected courtyard has ample space for three cars.
The pool house offers shadow as well as protection from any winds. It contains a dining table with space for twelve as well as ceiling fans to stir the air during hot weather, dimmable indirect lighting and wireless speakers for playing music to complement the atmosphere.
The summer kitchen is fully equipped with a granite kitchen bench, an oven, a hob, dishwasher, freezer and fridge and has cutlery, crockery and glasses for twelve guests. The kitchen also has a wood burning fireplace.
COURTYARD
The courtyard is the first area that meets the visitor after the motorised gate has closed. It is covered with light coloured gravel from the nearby Durance river in order to fend off the summer heat. There is ample space for parking three cars.
GARDEN
The pleasant and well-tended garden is covered mostly with lawn, and there are olive trees, lavender, almond trees, large pine trees, acacia and other exotic plants/trees.

The owners are francophile Norwegians who always dreamt of a place in the sun where favourable climatic conditions meet with peace, tranquility, a beautiful landscape, ancient and contemporary culture, and, not the least, a wonderful culinary offering .
Why they chose this property
We came to the Alpilles area back in 1990 and immediately fell in love with the beauty of the landscape, the quaint villages, the food, the wine and all the cultural attractions on offer within a short distance.
For a number of years we rented houses in different villages until we one day came to Eygalieres, stepped out of the car, looked at each other and said; "this is it, this is the place we want to stay when we visit the Alpilles area". So, after a couple of years renting in Eygalieres, we decided that we wanted our own place with our own style and amenities. Since we spend most of our time in the northern part of Europe, we had to think convenience and "operational efficiency" when visiting. This led to a house concept that lends itself to an easy life with all necessary amenities close at hand. So, upon arrival, we feel we are in a Provencal "heaven" from the first minute of our either long weekend or holiday.
For a number of years we rented houses in different villages until we one day came to Eygalieres, stepped out of the car, looked at each other and said; "this is it, this is the place we want to stay when we visit the Alpilles area". So, after a couple of years renting in Eygalieres, we decided that we wanted our own place with our own style and amenities. Since we spend most of our time in the northern part of Europe, we had to think convenience and "operational efficiency" when visiting. This led to a house concept that lends itself to an easy life with all necessary amenities close at hand. So, upon arrival, we feel we are in a Provencal "heaven" from the first minute of our either long weekend or holiday.
What makes this property unique
The house has a high degree of privacy, and is laid out mostly on ground floor. Together with the pool house and exterior kitchen, the house forms a large windbreaker that makes it pleasant to stay outside most of the year.
The location is very good as the house is situated at the end of a well lit street (street lights does not extend beyond the house), convenient when walking home from any one of the seven restaurants in the village.
The interior is spacious, with all rooms providing volumes of air and light. The interior is held in a Scandinavian style combing function with clean design.
Amenities are extensive, exclusive and functional as exemplified by beautifully tiled bathrooms with high quality lighting and appliances, all bedrooms quipped with very comfortable beds normally found in luxury hotels, two fully equipped modern granite top kitchens, high quality sun beds, extensive and atmospheric evening lights, and so on.
The location is very good as the house is situated at the end of a well lit street (street lights does not extend beyond the house), convenient when walking home from any one of the seven restaurants in the village.
