Idyllic cottage in the perfect Cotswold village. Everything was perfect in the cottage and the location for walking and exploring the area was wonderful. Note very steep and narrow stairs to bedrooms so be sure you are agile kitchen was new and easy to work in and we learned how to cook on an Everhot stove. A magical getaway
Quirky interesting property, tranquil and beautiful location. Away from the traffic, but able to load and unload luggage outside front door of cottage. The stairs are not suited to those with mobility issues. However still a very quaint and well equipped cottage.
Lovely cottage, really helpful host before and during stay. Facilities very good. Stairs are small & steep. Can’t wait to return, excellent location & lots to-see in the local area.
The area is so gorgeous. The house actually was nicer in person than the pictures seemed. Felt very homey. The kitchen was stocked enough that we were able to cook meals at home for the 2 days we were there. Only negative I would say is the toilet is pretty dreadful at flushing and should be replaced.

Really nice place to experience the Cotswold. Highly recommended.
The owner was very communicative throughout and helpful. The cottage had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Couldn’t fault the stay at all.
Riverside Cottage feels like stepping straight into a fairytale. The whole place is utterly delightful, and we fell in love with every detail; most of all the adorable kitchen. The welcome treat of milk and cookies was such a sweet and thoughtful surprise that set the tone for a perfect stay. Quiet, except for the sound of horses hooves, we spent a wonderful three days. We had one small issue and our host was quick and responsive. I wish we could have stayed longer!
What a wonderful stay. English charm! Make sure to sit out back with coffee or tea in the morning and a nice dinner in the evenings.Thank you for everything!

Splendid property, perfectly situated for countryside walks and proximity to quintessential Cotswolds towns. Very comfortable beds, steep staircase so may not be appropriate for older people, wonderful spot!
Everything about this property made our Cotswolds stay feel so magical! From its location right next to the river, to the cozy backyard which is perfect for eating lunch and reading a good book, and the beautiful kitchen with its view into the backyard... This property is perfect for anyone wanting a cozy getaway in the Cotswolds.
Fabulous location. Comfortable cottage, fully equipped and close to lovely nature walks. Great walk between Lower Slaughter and Upper Slaughter. Stairs were doable albeit challenging. Beautiful, relaxing garden. Excellent instructions and great communication with owner.
The cottage was lovely - warm, cosy and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and had every amenity that you could possibly need. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are plenty of books, games and dvds to keep you entertained. The location is perfect. The village is stunning and there is a lovely pub/ restaurant a stones throw away from the cottage, which serves good food. As stated in the description of the cottage, the staircase is steep, which may not be suitable for children or someone with mobility issues. There was good communication from the property manager/ owner and check-in was super easy using a key safe. We will most definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming and cosy cottage. The location is excellent, with a beautiful garden that made it feel like a real home away from home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and parking was easy to find. While the area was busy with tourists—as expected—it didn’t take away from the experience. The host was warm and welcoming, offering plenty of great recommendations. When my wife accidentally left something behind, they kindly posted it back to us. Highly recommended!
Our place was absolutely adorable! We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and we made dinner each night at our place. I loved the cook top because the food cooked beautifully. Never seen one of those ranges before. The neighborhood was so peaceful. What a way to start off our vacation! The host stopped by to meet us. We had no trouble with our quaint cottage!

It was such a wonderful experience and a memorable stay in lower slaughter. very easy drive to other villages. It had everything you need to prepare your meals although we didn’t use it. The mansion near by is worth seeing. Everybody was kind and friendly. The owner was prompt to answer questions on location when we mistakenly arrived to the wrong spot, my bad, had clear instruction how to access the cottage whitch i gave to my daughter that opened it. made her feel like Sherlock Holmes:)) Thank you Sophie for a lovely experience
This place was very charming and in an excellent location. very charming, clean, etc.
The only things to watch out for are:
The stair are small and steep. It was fine for us, but an older person of someone without great balance may not want to stay there.
Because of the location (in a charming old village) it was hard to find when we arrived. It was fine, but you you need to arrive after dark make arrangements to have the host meet you.
