‘Marjolaine’ is a Type 2 apartment that, for a long time, was the second residence of the owners. This is the reason why it has additional conveniences: Reversible air-conditioning, dishwasher, stove and gas oven, just like its twin brother 'Romarin', it has a private picnic area inside the property grounds with a view of the lake, and also a private parking space. It is located in the first and last floors of the building, which at the same is nestled in a shaded oak grove on a hillside; it is the 'Les Lavandes du Lac' residence that offers a breath-taking view of Lac de Sainte-Croix and the medieval village of Bauduen. You come here because of the peace and the closeness to the lake and the beaches that are less than 200 meters away from the residence. When leaving the property, a trail in the undergrowth, offering stunning view of the lake, will take you to the village of Bauduen, and if you want to go, it will lead you to the trails of Grande Randonnée. Four apartments welcome you, two type 3 (2 bedrooms) that feature terraces and breath-taking views of the lake on the ground floor, and two type 2 (1 bedroom) on the first floor. These last two have eating areas with tables and benches on the residence property and have a view to the lake and the village of Bauduen (5 minutes away by car).

Séjour très agréable dans un cadre très calme et reposant proche de la plage et du village de Bauduen. Appartement propre et climatisé (bien utile avec la canicule de cette année) disposant de tout le nécessaire. Literie correcte, seul bémol, une télévision trop petite, mais ce n'est qu'un détail tant la région des gorges est superbe. Très bon accueil de Tony le propriétaire qui nous a très bien guidé pour notre arrivée et qui nous a donné plein de renseignements sur les activités locales essentielles. Nous repartons ravis avec des images plein les yeux et des souvenirs à jamais.

Bonjour Jean-François, Quel dommage de ne pas nous avoir informé de cette situation durant votre séjour ?! En effet et c’est un fait très rare nous avons eu des vacanciers « très spéciaux » la semaine juste avant vous. Après leur départ le temps de ménage a été multiplié par 3 par rapport à la normale. Nous avons pensé apparemment à tort avoir éliminé les traces du passage de ce jeune couple de crasseux. Et je regrette profondément d’avoir trop tôt donner de bonnes appréciations avant que nous ayons pénétré dans le gîte pour effectuer le ménage de départ et découvert cette situation catastrophique. C’est la première fois en 16 ans. Mais c’est une fois de trop. Nous allons signaler le comportement de ces individus au site Abritel. Je regrette que vous n’ayez pas immédiatement communiqué avec nous sur cette très désagréable situation 😞 Je me console avec les 4 étoiles que vous avez mis, qui je l’espère sont là preuve que vos vacances dans le Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon et aux Lavandes du Lac se sont plutôt bien passé. Il faudra à l’avenir apprendre à communiquer. Ne dit-on pas que c est « de la discussion que jaillit la lumière » Bien cordialement. Antoine

Un très agréable séjour

Gite conforme à la description. La climatisation a été apprécié en rentrant de ballade sous un soleil écrasant. La baisse du lac ne nous a pas gêné et l'eau était très chaude. Une très belle région et de belles découvertes.

Vacances d'été très agréables

On a passé 15 jours dans l'appartement Marjoraine au deuxième étage de la propriété "Les Lavandes". L'appartement est sympathique et très bien outillé. La climatisation et la machine à laver commune ont été particulièrement appréciées. Tony nous a accueilli chaleureusement et fourni de plein de conseils et renseignement. L'emplacement est parfait pour des randonnées, des visites aux environs et bien sur des baignades au Lac de Ste Croix.

Vacances paisibles

Jolie propriété paisible et agréâble avec un jardin arboré où on entend chanter les cigales. Dommage pour la vue directe sur le lac qui se résume à une petite lucarne pour notre appartement. Le lac se situe bien à 200 m à pied. Idéale pour les activités aquatiques et la baignade. La région est magnifique. Mais attention pas ou très peu de connections internet même avec la wifi sur place et à Bauduen, le village d'à côté.

Super séjour

L'appartement est bien équipé et conforme à l'annonce. Un appartement plus grand étant disponible, Antoine nous a permis d'en bénéficier ce qui était vraiment sympa. Vue incroyable et emplacement idéal à côté de Bauduen. Accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse alors que nous arrivions tard, en mettant à disposition des affaires pour notre bébé. Merci beaucoup. Unique petit bémol, mais lié aux conditions météo (il avait énormément plu et donc en arrivant il y avait des vers type limaces et araignées dans l'appartement). Antoine nous a tout de suite rassurés en nous expliquant que cela était le cas partout dans ces conditions météo. Une fois ces petites bêtes relachées, aucun soucis). Merci, on reviendra!

For fifty years he has learned to passionately love this magnificent region that he had made his own. He has developed strong friendships in every village around, especially with his wild boar hunting friends with whom he hunts these stunning and brave animals in the oak and box forests during the winter months. Passionate about nature and wild life of this region, he loves to walk through the hills, and the forests that surround the lake over thousands of hectares. He always contemplates the sublime shots that the magnificent Gorges du Verdon has to offer. He is a real estate agent and an expert FNAIM realtor, and he strongly believes that this region is a natural jewel that has to be preserved for future generations. This is why he thinks that the best way to do so is to make as many people as possible to get to know it, love it and in consequence, respect it.

Why they chose this property

Bauduen is an exceptional medieval village, a 'retreat near the water'. Originally, Antoine rented an apartment in the 'Les Lavandes' residence during the off-peak season during weekends and the hunting season. When the four gite residence was placed for sale he did not think it twice.

Once the property was renamed 'Les Lavandes du Lac', he continued to rent the gites. 'Les Lavandes du Lac' has many regular customers who come to stay during different periods: Weekends, school breaks and obviously during the summer. The project for the next year or two is to expand the residence to have six apartments instead of the current four. Once this project is done, every gite will have, for the enjoyment of its visitants, its own private terrace with a stunning view of the lake and the village of Bauduen.

What makes this property unique

Located on the side of the hill and with an astonishing view of the Lake Sainte-Croix and the medieval village of Bauduen, ‘Les Lavandes du Lac ‘is one of the houses in the district of’ La Calade de Fabre that are closer to the wild beaches of the lake. The reason is simple; there are very few parking spaces in this place. Visitors and regulars of the banks of the river go a little farther, where is easier to find a parking spot.

The resident of Chemin des Couquets take advantage of the situation and jealously guard their privilege, having a five minute walking distance to the lake, finding the shadow of oaks or the small sunny beaches, depending on each person's taste. When leaving 'Lavandes du Lac', a pedestrian path will take you through the forest to the village of Bauduen, unless you prefer to rent it to walk the trails of Grandes Randonnées (GR) which will take you to paths that offer unforgettable views of the lake and its surroundings.
