A beachfront location made a perfect setting at Icognito. The cottage was perfect for the two of us, and was spotless upon arrival. The kitchen offered everything we needed to prepare meals, quality appliances and cookware. The internet was stable and very reliable. The ocean serenaded us to sleep most nights, and the birds serenaded us each morning. A sloth in a tree on the path to the beach was a special attraction. Pura Vida at Incognito!
We enjoyed the stay and all the amenities it had to offer(beach, pool, oceanfront porch). Would definitely recommend this rental. We have already talked about returning in the future.

We're so glad you guys enjoyed our corner of paradise! 3 or 4 nights just isn't enough you need a week or more!!!
Lyle, was great and responded to us quickly and was a great host (We loved Sheila as well). The location for us was perfect. Lots of outdoor space, the pool was wonderful, listening to the ocean outside your door. It had everything we needed, you can tell they have put in a lot time & effort into this place, it had all the small details. for example, having a lighter next to the outdoor grill, (I know it sounds simple but we traveled for a month in Costa and no place was as detailed as this one) Spices, olive oil, great cooking utensils. We will definitely be back!

We love it when our guests appreciate those small details that make Beachhouse Incognito so special, along with being right on a seclude beach just south of the surf town of Dominical. We loved having you and hope to see you again! Pura Vida!
Nice little guest cottage perfect for 2 but could do 3. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Very efficient unit right along an empty beach. GREAT pool (a must have) shared with neighbors in the big house, which was totally fine, Terrific front porch, washer and dryer worked great, and the road noise was not a problem at all. The Greg the owner happened to be on site all week, a bonus for restaurant and things to do recommendations. It's a 5 minute drive to Dominical and 15 to Uvita. The cottage was clean and neat although the mattress was a bit lumpy. Overall a great 6 days at BHI.
We stayed in the guest cottage at Beach House Incognito and had an amazing stay. We loved sitting on the patio with an ocean view drinking coffee, reading our books, and watching the massive iguanas that frequent the property. We spent a lot of time utilizing the pool and walking on the beach. The house was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would ever need. It’s a short drive South of the town of Dominical and North of Uvita. Lyle, the property manager, was very helpful and friendly and Sheila always welcomed us home. The owners of the main house were there and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely return to Beach House Incognito.
The cottage was simply beautiful, exactly what you dream about in a romantic, tropical getaway. Nicely updated and equipped with great kitchen amenities like a coffee grinder, fresh fruit juicer, microwave, blender etc., we lacked for nothing. Tucked in at the jungles edge with waves crashing in the backyard, we had the romance of the locale as well as a nice viewing of local wildlife. The caretaker, Lyle, was friendly and generous with his attention when asked, and helpful with great local recommendations. The pool on site was also gorgeous! Location was easily accessible to area attractions.
My wife and I had a great time here.
Walked to the beach everyday and boogie boarded which they have for you to use.
Lyle the property manager was great.
The only one negative for us personally was the very small bed.
A minor issue but we would suggest at least a queen size bed.
The apartment is very well located between Dominical and Uvita.
The pool is large.
Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic property 40 feet from the ocean. Fantastic swimming pool and decks. Clean, good a/c, all appliances. The beach is essentially your own private beach with outstanding boogie boarding (4 boards provided for use). The ONLY negative is road noise which awakened us a few times since the mountains come within a few hundred feet of the ocean at this point. One of our best vacations! Would recommend this property to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
We were in the 1 bed cabin with sitting room kitchen and large deck for 1 week. Very clean and comfortable, everything you need . View from the deck is back yard with trees for shade and visited regularly by countless birds, humming birds almost on the deck daily, a great pool, then you can step onto the almost private beach, with an occasional jogger or some one from nearby out for a walk. There is also a larger house on the property which had 2 gents in at the time but we got along great, when we did see them. We basically had the pool to ourselves. The property manager Lyle and his companion Shiela live in a second cabin on site and were very helpful. Lyle would set up trips, make restaurant reservations or just suggest great ones and other sites and activities. Sheila once she got to know us would come over when invited showing her acceptance by gently bumping her nose to your hand. ;;)
The property was quite easy to find being just off the paved road.
The only negative would be the traffic on nearby highway but the positive easily out weighs that!
We would definitely recommend this VRBO and stay here again.

Very nice location on the south Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Well located with a number of parks and attractions close by. Bring water socks for the beach as there are a lot of rocks on this beach. You'll need to study the beach at low tide to know where the best places to swim and boogie board are.
Great pool for daily use, Beautiful beach in front to walk, sunsets, lots of birds to watch, fall asleep to waves crashing nearby , listening howler monkeys early in morning, easy car access, and most important I always felt safe, falling asleep to the waves each night, best getaway yet. Thank you

If you want beach, this house has beach
There were 10 of us who rented the main house and cottage for a week. It was everything we were hoping for and more. It is hard to imagine being closer to an absolutely wonderful beach while being surrounded by a rain forest and all sorts of creatures. We saw iguanas of all sizes on a daily basis, had squirrels cavorting in the trees and toucans flying overhead. Being surrounded by a rain forest one truly surprising thing, in a great way, was the lack of bothersome insects, though we did wake up to an amazing katydid on the table on porch. The house was outfitted with everything we needed for our stay. We did not cook much, but enjoyed using the grill one evening to cook fresh fish and lobster. Ask Lyle for direction to Johnny's seafood. Its on the main road through Dominical, but outside of the town in the opposite direction of the breach. Speaking of Lyle, he is a great asset to the house. If you want to know where to eat, he has recommendations. tours, the same. He is on the property much of the time and is more than happy to help.
We loved the location of the house. Not just being on the beach, but Dominical is a five minute drive, Uvita is 20 minutes, Quepos, 25 minutes and Manuel Antonio is 30 minutes. We covered a lot of ground in our week stay, but barely did the area justice. The restaurants in Dominical are many and varied, but do not miss Por Qe No.
We rented a car and drove down from San Jose. The drive is not difficult at about 3-1/2 hrs going down with some traffic and 3 hrs going back in the middle of the night.
The only negative, and I considered it minor, is that the house is not as far from the road as it looks on the maps. There are occasionally large trucks that drive by and if they use their compression brake, it can be heard. The vast majority of the time all we heard were the wonderful waves and the critters.
The house is a wonder! Many thanks to Greg and Lyle.

Great location. Close to great beaches and numerous excursions.
The property was perfect. It was in a picturesque setting, perfect for having early morning coffee while watching birds. The location is great, close to numerous beaches and only a short drive to the mountains. We stayed in the cottage which was perfect for us. The large house would be great for larger groups. The staff was very helpful in making both travel and excursion reservations for us and proving us with the layout of the land. I highly recommend this property for anyone wishing to experience Costa Rica.
