Penstowe Manor Resort is an ideal setting for a couples get away or fun filled family holiday. The chalet offers free WiFi and is decorated in a welcoming coastal theme.
To accommodate an extra guest there is a sofa bed in lounge so can comfortably sleep 5.
The chalet itself is set within nearly 30 acres of private parkland. The park has a relaxed, safe feel and is the perfect place to take a stroll or watch the kids play. At the manor house The Stowe bar offers a relaxing drink, food (eat in or takeaway)a game of pool ,snooker or darts for you to enjoy if you choose ..also a small arcade for the younger ones.

Penstowe is close to many beaches on your doorstep, not to mention the beautiful Cornish coast which is also close by waiting for you to explore. You are also within walking distance of Kilkhampton’s local shops which includes pizza and Chinese takeaway abd 2 local public houses that provide food. Or just a 5 minute drive to Bude with 2 supermarkets, numerous takeaways,cafes,pubs and shops.

The chalet comprises of..

• Comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated lounge with sofa and sofa bed, dining table to seat 4, Freeview TV and DVD player.Wifi.
• A Fully equipped fitted kitchen with electric oven/grill, hob, microwave, toaster, fridge/with small freezer and kettle.
• Bathroom with electric shower.
• Bedroom 1 - Double bed, bedding, hanging space for clothes.
• Bedroom 2 - 2 single beds, bedding, hanging space for clothes.
• Electric heating throughout and handy appliances such as an iron,, hoover etc. and also handy items for the kids such as buckets ,spades and outdoor gaming equipment are available for your use.
• Bath mats and tea towels are also provided.Bed linen is provided.
• Patio area to the front of the chalet with table and four seats.
• Electricity is provided via meter cards which are available to purchase at the cabin located on the site.

• Well behaved pets welcome at no extra charge.

Great Holiday

Lovely and cosy stay in a house full of character

We stayed at penstowe for 4 nights and the house was equipped with everything a family needs , if anything was missing our host Debbie was helpful and pleasant all the way , it was a shame the weather wasn’t so good but we will definitely worth a stay at this lovely house . Thank you to our host for being so warm it has made our stay even better .

Cosy and comfortable

Wonderful little chalet, which is furnished with a lovely seaside theme. Lovely and clean. The beds were super comfy. The London Inn is located a 5-minute walk away which is dog friendly, has friendly staff and good food. The Chalet is in a great location for visiting Bude and Widemouth. Electricity is supplied by using £5 cards purchased on-site from the Cabin. For the 7 nights, it cost the 2 of us a total of £20. Debbie supplied all the information that was needed previous to check-in I would definitely stay here again

Lovely Stay and Lovely hosts

This was my first real venture out of the house in 60 weeks, as a long Covid sufferer (with complications) Debbie - the host helped made me feel totally safe and secure. Answered all my questions in advanced and even allowed the property to be in occupied 3 days before arrival. The property itself is very adequate, a great kitchen, a well proportioned longe come dinner, a really confortable double bed, another room with 2 twin beds. The bathroom was great - only downside was I really love a powerful shower (this shower was very good) just because of it being a chalet - getting a real power pressure must be hard ! There was great parking for the property and we found it great getting around everywhere - Tintagel was 30 min drive for example - Lands End would be a much longer drive - but we had so much on the doorstep! Debbie was the perfect host and when we had a medical emergency she was so helpful and on hand ! A host with the most ! We hope to return as this was a great place in a very tranquil part of Cornwall !

Aufenthalt in Penstowe Park Kilkhampton

Die Unterkunft war klein, aber sauber und es gab fast alles was wir brauchten. Enttäuscht waren wir davon, dass in der Beschreibung sehr viel mehr geboten wurden als wir vor Ort vorgefunden haben. Es gab z.B. keinen der beiden versprochen en Swimmingpools. Dafür könnte man alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig erreichen. Der Park an sich ist nicht so sehenswert, aber die Umgebung ist wirklich sehr schön.

Excellent base in lovely location

The property was perfect for our needs but I should have checked about wifi first as this was not available but thankfully was able to connect via a hotspot on my husbands phone. The Manor House was open most nights from 7pm which was great as we got a few games of cash bingo and a quiz night! We didn't use the pool, would have booked spa treatments but these were no longer on offer which was a shame. There was plenty of cutlery and cooking items available for use. The local takeaways do close early and the Manor House doesn't do food but they allow the pizza and chippy to deliver there and you can eat them there. A few local beaches and coastal places to visit within a short drive and the London Inn pub down the road offers amazing food and friendly staff. Debbie the host was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and amenities. We needed to use the heaters and had to buy air fresheners to keep the damp smell away (after showering) but this was not a major problem. It just meant we had to top up the electric meter but there was approx £8 on it when we arrived and we only bought another £5. I think the pathways could be better lit up at night to help you find your way back from the Manor House. All in all...a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely quiet location and the booking process was exceptionally easy as was checking in and out of the property... thanks so much to Debbie.

Thankyou for your feedback. Wifi is not advertised as available however it is something I am looking into to provide it for guests next season. Lighting on the site definitely needs improving and updated the site management have assured owners it is something they are dealing with. Regarding the comments made about the shower and mpisture I was very surprised as this is the 1st time I have had issues with it..Thete is an extracor fan in bathroom which if used helps with the problems you encountered. I honestly believed that the extra air freshners were due to ypu having your dog with uou. Glad that overall you enjoyed.

Soggy feet and dog.

Perfect base to explore surrounding areas. Chalet was very clean, everything we needed. Debbie (the owner) was a fountain of knowledge about local eateries and useful information. We would definitely stay again. We were unlucky with the weather to begin with but after a few wet and cold days the sun came out.

Lovely cosy chalet near Bude

We had a great time at Debbie’s chalet with our dog. It is cosy and comfortable and was very clean. The park is ideal if you have a dog- lots of space to walk them and not far from the beach at Bude.

Beautiful Bude and Penstowe

As this was so out of season we were well impressed with the chalet, it was clean and tidy. The indoor pool was fantastic for the children to use.As it was out of season it was a quiet nice break. We visited some of the local beaches and obviously took great delight in tasting the pasties.The owner was extremely helpful and we look forward to booking again in the near future.
