StarHill Farms Hinze Cabin

StarHill Farms is a rolling 300+ acre setting nestled between Mill Creek and Sandy Creek in Austin County, Texas. It is conveniently located between Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

StarHill Farms now has several restored log cabins and a Ranch House for guests to enjoy the beautiful wide open spaces of Austin County!

Our original mid-1800’s Hinze Cabin was relocated from Frelsburg Texas to StarHill Farms and overlooks our horse pasture. It has been fully restored using reclaimed wood, custom fixtures, and beautiful antiques.

It has a large living room with high ceilings, a separate bedroom with Queen Bed. There is a kitchenette with stove, subzero refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, and dishes. There is a full bathroom with walk in shower.

There is a wood burning stone fireplace and also central air conditioning and heat.

Linens and towels are provided in addition to a hairdryer and Texas Lavender bath products.

There is a large covered porch with rocking chairs to relax in.

Cozy cabin

Beautiful sunsets and the perfect spot for stargazing. We enjoyed the little touches: a bottle of wine, fresh ground coffee, and treats for our dog. It was a peaceful and relaxing weekend.

Slice of heaven

Beautiful cabin on serene setting of a working ranch. The owners have paid attention to every detail from custom soaps to coffee. Very clean and cozy. Would absolutely recommend rocking on the front porch & watching the sunset. Loved our stay!

Starhill Farms was the perfect getaway for our anniversary during Round Top's antique fair. The property was beautiful and we loved staying in the Hinze Cabin! We wished we had more time to explore the property, but relaxing in the cabin was a perfect way to spend our time.

I will definitely rent again. Oddly no television and didn’t notice any literature mentioning absence of tv. Site was so awesome that television distraction wasn’t needed. 100 percent satisfied.

A beautiful get away!

The cabin was awesome! The view on the property is beautiful. The owners were onsite and extremely helpful and friendly. We caught a few fish and soaked up the great outdoors! We will be going back soon!

This is a beautiful and super well maintained piece of heaven in the country! The accommodations were perfect for us as a couple, super clean and charming. We had a very nice relaxing and peaceful time away from the city where we could also see the unobstructed stars at night!

Adventure Trip

We needed a quick getaway for my two 8 year-olds and I knew that StarHill Farms was the perfect place. We went bike-riding all over the property, fed the horses, played Marco Polo, cooked pancakes, roasted hot dogs and smores over the fire, and had some epic Go Fish games. When we left I asked if the trip was a success and the answer was a resounding, "Yes!".

Wonderful Getaway

Hinze cabin provided a perfect escape from two months of sheltering-in-place during the pandemic. It's such a charming place -- beautifully restored 1850's cabin, tastefully decorated, and in such a beautiful location. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. I loved watching the sun come up on the porch. I will definitely be back!

Peaceful cabin

My husband and I enjoyed our stay for our wedding anniversary. Just a short drive from Katy. So peaceful and relaxing. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the porch. We enjoyed the birds and saw deer grazing not too far away. We will be coming back soon.

Wonderful Escape from City Life

We had a wonderful stay at StarHill Farm! There was plenty of exploring to do for our kids with several ponds that were just a short walk away. We loved visiting the horses and watching the longhorn cattle. This is such a beautiful piece of property with unique historic buildings on site. A littel bit of heaven just a short drive from the city. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful retreat from the city

My wife and I needed a quick getaway from the noise of city living and we found the wonderfully built cabin on a great farm/ranch just over an hour drive from home. Adequately equipped home with other housing options on the property as well. Mary was very attentive to our request. Close drive to Warrenton and Round Top of 30min at the most for shopping/dining. Definitely recommend it.
