If you’re seeking the tropical getaway of a lifetime, look no further than this amazing oceanfront Kailua-Kona vacation rental condo, complete with mesmerizing sunset views over the Pacific!

With 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom this unit is the perfect size for a couple out for an unforgettable Hawaiian retreat. At the end of the day, relax outside on the private lanai with a mai tai & simply take in your the incredible view as the sun slips behind the Pacific Ocean you’ll be able to enjoy amazing Hawaiian sunsets from both the lanai and the living room! New mattress installed May 2019 & new sofa bed July 2018. NOTE - There is no air conditioning.

Located on the top floor (4th floor) in the very quiet Kona Bali Kai condominium complex, this condo is ideally situated close to all activities, beaches, shopping, and restaurants in Kona. You’ll find tide pools directly outside for exploring, and the famous Banyans surf spot is located right in front. “Da Poke Shack," rated number 1 on Yelp’s “100 Best Places to Eat in America,” is conveniently located on the premises, so definitely make sure to check it out for a tasty meal! You and your travel companion will also have access to the communal barbeque area with picnic table and courtyard swimming pool inside the complex, just in case you desire a change of pace from the sand and surf. When you stay at this condo, the best of Hawaii’s Big Island is practically right at your fingertips!

This is direct oceanfront property and when they say direct, they mean direct it’s practically in the ocean with the most amazing views I’ve ever seen and the place is nice and it was a joy to stay here

The view from the lanai was amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the waves. We also saw whales, sharks and turtles while we were out there; the view was better than advertised, if that's possible. We also loved falling to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks. The condo had everything we needed and was lovely.

We had a great stay in this unit. Loved the sunsets every night and the condo had all the amenities we needed. I wasn’t sure about not having any a/c but we did not miss it at all! We have already booked to come back to this same unit next year. The owner and property manager are very quick to respond to any questions! Highly recommend!Highly recommend!

The ocean waves crashing captivated as soon as we walked into the condo! We opened the sliding door to the lanai and I parked myself there for almost the entire stay. We had everything needed to fix meals and enjoyed all meals and coffe on the lanai… just a wonderful experience. I loved the HI decor and HI artwork in the condo and nice touches of aloe cucumber lotion was really appreciated. Parking and elevator was easy. My husband snorkeled almost every day, making use of our host’s recommendations. We went to the Standing Stone Church next door which was great! Enjoyed this relaxing vacation so much and hope we can return.

It is exactly as it says it is. True oceanfront! Leave the Lanai door open and listen to the crashing waves. Host went above and beyond to let us stay past check out time on our last day. Will definitely be back!!

The condo was very nice, lani was beautiful with great views and comfortable lounge chairs, although the unit was a little dated it was very clean. The main 2 reason for 4 stars are: 1) the bedroom is on the street side and there is quite a bit of traffic noise and 2) the notes should have included a facility map including directions from the elevator. We got there late due to a rental car snafu and did not know there was an elevator. Humping bags up 4 floors after flying all day was not fun only to find out in the morning there was an elevator.

Ocean front at Kona Bali Kai

We had a wonderful stay at Kona Bali Kai overlooking the ocean. The property was perfect for us and I especially loved the Hawaiian artwork. I definitely recommend staying here if you plan to visit Kona and are looking for something ocean front.

In March 2014 we vacationed on the Big Island for the first time and fell in love with the island. We purchased a townhouse that year (www.vrbo.com/578036) and love coming back regularly to Kona. In May 2017 we purchased this condo and love the view from the lanai along with the vibe inside the condo. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

The view from the lanai is spectacular and you can just sit and lounge there all day watching the turtles, fish, whales and the waves rolling in. It has a great island feel with the decor inside the condo along with nice artistic touches of painted murals on the wall.

What makes this property unique

Have your morning coffee and breakfast on the lanai and watch the honu (sea turtles) feeding in the water down below.
