We personally loved the place. Far enough away from the lights of the city, so to speak, yet close enough for necessities. The open family area...kitchen and living was awesome! Great stay!
We had a great stay! Beautiful views, cozy, clean cabin with everything you would need! It was great to come back and relax after a day in Yellowstone. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful cabin.
Perfect location close Yellowstone Park. Host was exceptional and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Looking forward to staying here again soon.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Very clean and well equipped with a nice view. All the big picture stuff was done well, but the little things could be improved on. Lots of notes/warnings in bold, all caps, and red print from things about septic system to threats not to leave “too much laundry” when checking out made me not feel entirely welcome. Well equipped with cooking supplies, laundry needs, etc. but could use a little empty kitchen space for food storage.
Our family of 6 really enjoyed Bean’s lodge and if we were to visit the area again we would definitely stay here. More than plenty of room inside and out, a great loft with multiple beds for the kids, a HUGE deck, a fire pit with split wood and fire starters provided etc etc. We cooked most meals at the lodge and the kitchen was more than adequate too. It would be nice to have a dresser and a few more hangers in the master bedroom but that’s nitpicking and we still give it 5 stars!

Thanks for the nice comments and will provide the additional hangers etc as suggested.
We very highly recommend this cabin! The location to West Yellowstone is perfect! The cabin itself is gorgeous—the pictures in the listing don’t do it justice. Gorgeous!!

Liked: Check-in, location
Inaccurate description-“jetted” bathtubs were to be used for showers. only.lack of kitchen towels and dish rags, excuse given was cleaning crew must have taken them and they couldn’t remedy from their location. Logs of outdoor debris on the deck and in the yard. Parts of front deck rotten and unsafe. No privacy on deck entry doors. Age on the appliances, poor lighting throughout. Was not as clean as expected, and first time staying at a vrbo that we were asked to do the laundry for the cleaning crew. All while paying a higher than normal price.

We are sorry your stay was not as you expected. Your comments are surprising to us and so in contrast to all previous guest comments but a log cabin is not for everyone.
Was perfect, The cabin has a beautiful wood design, super cozy. Had a lot of fun with our kids. Host is super nice and informative. Definitely will come back
Location! Super clean! Private master suite and loft for 6 easily. Well equipped bathrooms and kitchen for all cooking needs. Laundry is the icing on the cake. Amazing Host who is an effective communicator and willing to provide recommendations to help with your journey!! Great instructions easy in n out. Bring the family, the extended family/friends, party and GO ADVENTURE!! As home base this is perfect for not only all the biggest Yellowstone attractions but also everywhere else. Fishing, hiking, touring, YNP, Grand Teton, Jackson, Madison River, and if your brave start early and go to Lamar all the way to Cody for Buffalo Bill Museum and casually cruise back. Loved the cabin and my adventure. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

About the host

We live in Layton Utah but love to spend our time in Island Park and love the mountains so enjoy sharing our home with you. We are retired military and were stationed in SoCal/San Diego.
Why they chose this property
We love the area and especially the accessibility of this cabin with the great views and quiet. Our favorite thing to do is just relax and enjoy the peace with the great view. Visiting the local attractions are a one of a kind tour. No place like Yellowstone for outdoor life and wildlife viewing.
What makes this property unique
Sitting on the deck with a cup of cocoa/coffee watching the sun illuminate the hills across the valley is just. . .serene. Watching the wildlife cross the valley floor is wonderful and somehow just right. The neighbors are great and willing to help and stop for a cup.
