Our second time at Casa Irena. Lovely villa in a great location close to town. Spacious rooms with good size outdoor pool and dining areas.

Really comfortable stay

We chose the villa for it’s location and were not disappointed. It’s a short walk to the nearest restaurant or shop and plenty of choice. We had a couple of problems quickly sorted. Would recommend.

Villa review

Lovely large villa. Well equipped kitchen, outdoor barbecue and plenty space for our large family. Two large seating areas outside for dining. Pool is such a plus in the heat. Short walk ( 3 mins) to nearest shop and some good restaurants. Further 10 mins down hill is a busy area with more shops and restaurants.

Casa Irena - August 2025

We had a lovely stay at Casa Irena. The location was excellent - at the top of restaurant hill, so very convenient for exploring Carveoiro on foot. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with modern bathrooms that were clean and fresh. The kitchen supplies were impressive - very well stocked with all the essentials, it even had an airy fryer which was a bonus! Outside, we enjoyed the good sized pool, BBQ and outdoor fridge. If we had to mention areas for improvement, the sun loungers could definitely do with replacing - they looked old and grubby and were very uncomfortable, with a bar that presses into your back when lying down. The small outdoor side tables have also seen better days and should be refreshed for a cleaner look. The main issue we had was the ants. We’re used to the occasional ant or two when staying at villas, but this seemed like on another level - there were large numbers of them in the bathrooms, all bedrooms, kitchen and all outdoor areas. We had to use ant spray daily to try and keep them under control. It felt like an infestation, which was a real downside. Due to this issue, we can only rate accommodation and cleanliness as average.

Perfect family holiday

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this fabulous villa. The location was great having so many restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the beach a 15 minute walk. The villa is so comfortable and well equipped with everything you could want. Elite dealt with a couple of issues we had very promptly and without a fuss. Lots to do in the area but our 3 teens were happiest round the fab pool.

Foi uma semana muito boa, em que estivemos todos juntos e sem problemas com a pandemia. Zona de compras perto. só as praias foi pior, pois estão cheias e são pequenas com muitas escadas para descer e depois subir.
