We had a fabulous stay at the Watch House. The location is amazing, right on the beach. The house is exceptionally well equipped for 12 people and the host was extremely accommodating.

Wonderful stay by the sea

We really enjoyed our stay, the house has lots of living space with wonderful views and comfy beds. Walking out onto the beach was brilliant. Kitchen was well equipped.

A weekend in Camber Sands

Thank you for a lovely weekend, highly recommended. The house is beautiful and well equipped.The whole family enjoyed it and the weather couldn’t have been better. Situated on the beach was a big plus all round.

The house has been very poorly maintained and is in a neglected state. There was mould on the walls in some of the rooms and the dishwasher did not work. The front and back doors stuck. It is evident the property is cashing in on its location without any regular maintenance or upkeep. The decor of the house is rudimentary and all the walls have been painted white which is probably due to the whole house getting an annual job-lot paint which does not stop the mold from seeping through. The blinds are broken and have mould on them.

The Watchhouse

Loved being so close to the beach, house suited the family very well. Just a couple of areas that needed a little TLC toilet seat in family bathroom and carpet on landing

Fabulous view, very tired house

The location of the watch house was amazing, couldn’t have been any better. It does however need a lot of TLC. A little disappointed about the quality of the internal fittings, and the state of the carpets upstairs. There is only one shower we could use and for 11 of us that was difficult. We overall had a fabulous break and the poor state of the house was easily overshadowed by the amazing view and access to the beach.

Hi Corinne, Thank you for your review and for coming to stay at The Watchhouse. I was sorry to hear that the family bathroom shower had caused water to drip downstairs and you were not able to use it.I will get the handyman to renew the sealant surrounding the bath.When you called to report the leak and with the 3 bathrooms in the house, I had hoped it would not have impacted your stay,as much as it did.My apology. I do agree the master bedroom carpet does need changing but the rest of the carpet on the 1st floor is new. The house is due to be extended and renovated later in the year, maybe we could offer you a discount to the new Watchhouse once it has been completed.

Lovely beach retreat

Stayed at the Watch House for family birthday celebrations and had a lovely weekend in the Autumn sunshine. Clean and tidy house, large enough for 10 of us - no problem. Owner was really helpful and the house is well kitted out for making your stay very special. Awesome views from pretty much every room. Had a fantastic weekend.
