A perfect stay

We had an absolutely amazing time at The Romney!! The hut was beautiful and cozy, and the outdoor bath is a great addition. It has everything you could need and we were kindly left with lots of amenities which was lovely to arrive to! The local area was beautiful and there were lots of things to do. Kristina was so kind and friendly, making sure we could easily get in contact if needed and that we had a lovely time, which we absolutely did. We would 100% come back!

Kentish paradise

Despite the heatwave, we had a very comfortable stay. Cosy double bed and our daughter loved the bunk bed. Handy little kitchenette, and it's easy to have barbecues. Our daughter loved looking after the baby lambs. Kristina kindly let her feed milk to them several times during our stay.

Simply magical

Absolutely magical! We were blessed with the most amazing skies during our stay and had the most wonderful time. The Romney was a dream. A cosy and beautiful shepherds hut with everything included to make our visit one to remember. The beds were comfy and included gorgeous wool throw blankets, cushions and hot water bottle. There were fairy lights and the little kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a delicious cooked breakfast and bbq feast. The cookies, marshmallows, tea, coffee and milk were a lovely touch. The real magic was being sat outside around the fire pit cooking our dinner and watching the sunset. Equally, the outdoor bath was a real luxury combined with the sumptuous toiletries and bath robes. We came with our sons who are 7 and 2 and they both had the time of their lives. I loved that we had the field all to ourselves apart from the odd visiting chicken. The location is ideal for exploring the local area; we had a fantastic time wandering the cobbled streets of Rye and then collecting pebbles at Dungeness. Highly recommend and fully intend to return again in the future.

Very friendly welcome and relaxing stay

This was a lovely 2 night break for myself and my 11 year old son. The time of year was perfect for seeing the lambs in the fields right next to the hut and we enjoyed the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch steam railway too. The hut was more spacious than we imagined as well! Many thanks.

A pleasant stay.

Well worth getting back to nature. A pleasant view as well. More home comforts than a shepherd would have had - certainly nice and cosy. The stove really puts out some heat. Give it a go, it’s a different accomodation!

A magical weekend away

My partner and I had a wonderful and peaceful weekend away in The Romney hut. Waking up to the beautiful views of the local sheep and the sweeping marshes is something we will never forget. The hut was incredibly well equipped, and it had everything we needed (I was especially impressed to find the kitchen stocked with a knife sharpener!) The outdoor bath was a unique highlight, offering the perfect way for us to cool down during the 30 degree heatwave whilst soaking in the surrounding scenery. Our host, Kristina, was incredibly kind and even accommodated a last minute request to help with the lamb feeding. It was such a memorable experience getting to interact with her little flock. We ordered the BBQ fish box, which was absolutely delicious cooked on the outdoor fire pit, and the thoughtful additional touches of milk, bread, and apple juice were hugely appreciated. I also really enjoyed using the Romney marsh products in the bathroom and will be purchasing some of the hand and body cream for sure! A truly fantastic weekend, and we hope to return again soon

The most beautiful place ever!!

I stayed for just one night and it was the most beautiful staycation I’ve ever had! Being surrounded by the sheep, watching the sunset and sunrise it was like living in a dream!! The Shepard’s hut has everything from airfryer to a hob so it’s full of amenities!!

Loved our stay

We absolutely loved our one night stay in the shepherds hut. It was bigger than we anticpiated and had everything we could possibly need with loads of thoughtful extras like a hot water bottle, games and binoculars. We would definitely return.

Wonderful Shepherds Hut Stay

Perfect 2 night getaway for anniversary. 5 star Shepherds Hut in keeping with sheep farming & family traditions set in beautiful Kent countryside. Outside bath, barbeque, beautifully equipped living space & shower bathroom, wood burner & perfect peace.

Refreshing!

We loved every minute, it was a beautiful and refreshing stay that we really needed! We would definitely go again and have recommended our friends to go! My highlight would be feeding the baby lambs!

Lovely stay

A bucket list that didn’t disappoint

Beautiful setting, well thought out accommodation with everything you could want for your stay Incredible accommodating hosts which was much appreciated as they were a busy farming family The welcome pack was the best ever and I have traveled a lot Would thoroughly recommend a visit, will visit again!

Stunning location

The property was easily located and check in on arrival was easy too. The hut is beautifully presented and offered everything you need for a stay and more. Located on Romney Marsh, the area is stunning with views for miles. The sunset at this property is something to behold. The sheep and chickens are very friendly and added to the experience. Highly recommended

Countryside getaway

We had a lovely stay at farm cabin,sitting by the fire,with the glass of wine,with cute lambs around! We was welcomed with milk,butter and apple juice from Biddenden wine yards,bread,tea,coffee,marshmallows,etc. At end of the day we had a hot tube with amazing sunset! I recommend to everyone this cozy and lovely farm cabin in countryside!

Beautiful Getaway in nature

What a perfect location for a getaway surrounded by nature! The view across the fields with the company of fluffy friends was amazing. In the hut, absolutely everything was thought of - from wine to fresh bread and biscuits. The outdoor bath was lovely, and perfect for using during the day or night. We will definitely be returning!

Overnight family stay

We had a fantastic stay, the room decor was fantastic and clean. The views and surroundings incredible. We will recommend and come back ourselves. We had the breakfast add on, the sausages, bacon and eggs were top quality. The only small constructive criticism that I can think of would be the bread, a nice crusty loaf or sour dough would take this to the next level.
