Perfect little beach stay

I had a fantastic stay at this beachfront condo in Madeira Beach! The unit was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. You truly can't beat the location—just steps from the sand and within easy walking distance to great restaurants and shops. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and the convenience of being right on the beach made it even better. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful beach escape, and I’d happily stay here again!

The Bilbow’s

Location was ideal - close to beach and lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance. Doc was great - super responsive. We can’t wait to come back!

Worked great for us.

If you are not to needy, great location, nice comfortable bed and okay bathroom. Host was very friendly. We did not need anything, but I am sure Doc would have helped if we did. Would stay again.

Just a few steps out your door and you are on the beach! Loved having beach chairs and umbrellas! It was also nice to visit with all the other guests visiting! The owner was always checking on his guests and ensured they were taken care of! My daughter and I had a great stay!

Great place to get away!

The property is perfectly located for immediate beach access. The apartment was fully stocked and tidy. Doc was ao hospitable and was always available for questions and additional needs! We fell in love with the place. We would definitely book again if Doc will have us! Thank you for everything!

80 Steps to the beach

The location of this property is 80 steps from the beach. The property manager Doc is easy to work with and is available as needed. Our studio was just as advertised and we enjoyed each day with our toes in the sand and beverages in hand!

Excellent Location

Doc was a great host. He was available when needed to answer questions. The efficiency #8 has some quarks (like no outlet in bathroom for the hairdryer, bathroom sink area narrow and no thermostat for AC). Other units were larger. The location is wonderful. I'd stay there again.

Great place

We had a great time and this was perfect for me and my son to have a get away. Check in was a little iffy and the tv kept going out. Walls are very thin and could hear every cough in the unit next to us all through the night and snoring. LOL Other than that, it was great.

Two Hoosiers Week at the Beach

Since we we weren't renting a car, our primary consideration in our lodging was proximity to the beach and establishments. Doc's vrbo exceeded all expectations. The beach access is just steps from the room, beautiful and never crowded, Doc was always accessible, helpful and a perfect host. After we encountered a glitch in our travel reservations, Doc left a bottle of champaign in the room to greet us, and worked with us on a delayed check-out. I'll never stay anywhere else in that region of FL.

Wonderful host & amazing location

Doc is a great host! He was very attentive and great with communication. He even left us a bottle of wine at check in! The studio is quite small, but we wanted to spend most of our time on the beach so it was perfect. We did get stuck inside for a couple of days due to TS Debbie, but Doc was kind enough to open up another room for us to use! The beach is within sight and one minute walk. The water was so close. The property has umbrellas and chairs to use, so no need to worry about that. We loved our visit there. It was a great trip and Doc is a wonderful host!

Great location

Property (#8 studio) was as advertised. It is small, but perfect for two people. The shower was tiny, but I knew that by reading the reviews. Host was very communicative and provided a bottle of wine upon arrival. That was a kind gesture and a great way to start off our honeymoon! Host checked in with us daily to make sure everything was going smoothly. He provided a wealth of information on places to eat and things to do. Property location was perfect. Very close to the beach (20 steps or less). The beach was clean and not too crowded. Lots of shells to find! The sunsets are amazing! We would definitely recommend.

Amazing!

We stayed in Unit #3. Very clean, well decorated, had all the basic necessities. A couple things that would be nice- a cooler to take beverages to the beach, can coozies, beach towels. Not complaining, just suggesting. The mattress was a little too firm for our liking, but everyone is different. Owner (Doc) is very friendly and easy to work with. Having the beach within 100 feet was PERFECT. Very quiet stretch of beach, not touristy at all, yet within walking or a quick drive to restaurants, bars, public beaches! Amazing sunsets! Will definitely be back and would recommend to others! Our only regret is not staying longer!

"Cozy" is a good word to describe this rental

My husband and I were at Maderia Beach for a quick few days on the Gulf. We found this rental on VRBO as we have had good success on this website. The unit was even smaller than we expected for a studio. It is one small room and small bathroom. The refrigerator and microwave were behind the entrance door to the apartment making it a little awkward to access. There is no space to eat in the unit unless you choose to sit on the bed or in the recliner which sits at the end of the bed. Overall, the unit was very clean, our number one priority and reservations were uncomplicated. We received our rental deposit refund promptly. This rental is fine for a short time especially if you plan to access the town or beach almost entirely. Beach access is great with no streets to cross. Beach chairs were available for our use. The beach was quiet and clean. This studio worked fine for a brief getaway. The owner, Doc, was also very friendly and responsive.

Great vacation spot!

The studio space was small but we didn’t plan to spend much time inside anyway. The thermostat was not in our unit but we didn’t have any issues with the temperature. When it was turned down, we adjusted the vents to make it a temperature that worked for us. Lights outside the window keep the room lit at night, so if you like a dark room consider a sleep mask. Doc was very nice and always around and checking in. Beach access is just a very short distance and it is private enough that we didn’t have to worry about crowds. There is a grocery store, CVS, and a few restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend and return to stay at Sunglow. Doc is a wonderful host!

Doc was very helpful!!

Perfect place to stay for about 4 days, place was very clean and well stocked with towels & toilet paper. Doc answered any questions we had, and came out of his way to turn the thermostat down that was in the other room. Me & my husband prefer a very cold room, and since the thermostat was in the other room, we had no control over the thermostat which is our only complaint. So if you prefer a cold room, definitely recommend bringing a fan (or two). Other than that, our stay was perfect.

Best location for a quiet beach, best host ever!

This is a quiet lovely condo, right in the beach! Walk out the door and you are there, and the beach is quiet. We saw maybe 3 people there. It’s clean and looks just like pictured. The bed was wonderful, there were 2 tvs with ability to stream your own shows if wanted. Nice kitchen with everything you need. Doc was a great host, checked in with us often to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. The lovely lady who cleans is wonderful. There are beach chairs and umbrellas and even left over toys for kids. Doc let my son pick two shells from an amazing collection and my son is over the moon about getting these special shells. Great place, will definitely be back!

If you just need somewhere to sleep, close to beach for a couple days, this will be OK.

The pluses are you can walk onto the beach in 2 min. and it was clean. The minuses were the code to get in was wrong so it took 45 min. to get in because Doc had to drive over and try several codes, the air conditioning had froze up so we had no air conditioning the first day and night until mid afternoon the next day, the thermostat for our room was in unit 1 (we were in unit 8 next to unit 1) so we had no control over what it was set at, the shower was so tiny that the shower head shot onto the top of your head whether you wanted to wash your hair or not.

Small room nice owner

This is a small room with a small shower. Good for two adults if you are not planning on hanging in your room much. We stayed a week and it worked for us. Would stay there again, but would get one of the bigger rooms. You have direct access to the beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas available for use. You have to drag or carry them to the beach area. It is less than 30 yards to the sand and a great view of the gulf. I like the location it is in for getting to things on the coast.

We really like the location of Sunglow Condo Motel. It is located right on the PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL Beach, close to EVERYTHING and just 2 short blocks to TOWN. SUNGLOW IS A VERY SOLID WELL CONSTRUCTED CONCRETE “ART DECO STYLE”STRUCTURE.

What makes this property unique

It’s just a short minutes scenic walk along beautiful Gulf Blvd to Wynn Dixie grocery store, dress&gift shops, hair salons , beachy restaurants /beach bars or the World’s Famous John’s Pass waterfront Boardwalk. The popular beach trolley stops out front and is a must scenic ride along the scenic Blvd to Clearwater Beach or St.Petersburg Beach at the other end. A 1 day pass is just $2.00.
