Spectacular, cozy cottage with spectacular views. Quiet, peaceful, refreshing - words and pictures can't describe the view and how amazing this place is.
Our family of six (two couples and two children) loved this vacation home! We enjoyed watching the tide come in and out in from the porch and living areas of this tastefully decorated and comfortable home. We would recommend this to family and friends for relaxing trip to Donegal.

Thank you so much for your review . It was lovely to host your family .
The Oyster House is a truly peaceful spot with stunning views, perfect for switching off and recharging. The property is spotless, cosy and set up for a relaxing stay, with everything you need and nothing that disturbs the calm. Our host was excellent – welcoming from the start, clear with communication and quick to help with anything we needed. A place that delivers exactly what it promises, and one we’d happily return to.
We enjoyed three wonderful and very sunny days at this beautiful property and left restored and hoping to return again very soon. The house is beautifully located and decorated and is of a very high standard. Will recommend to friends and family and hope to return ourselves very soon.

Thank you Susan for your review. so glad you liked the decor. We would love to welcome you back again.
The house is very well appointed and the decor is great, which meant that we had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. A super location and outlook, which despite the relatively dull weather, gave ever-changing and enchanting sea and landscape views. The welcome was excellent and the house was cosy and warm when we arrived. We did light the stove which added to the evening ambience, especially with a glass or two of Silkie whiskey from the Ardara distillery! Thanks very much for a lovely short break which was a great introduction to County Donegal.
Our stay at the Oyster House was wonderful; it was a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. The house was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. The location was great as well; perfect place to explore Donegal and all it has to offer.
The perfect getaway
We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the peace and privacy here
Thankyou

Touring the North of Ireland
A great location for touring Donegal situated in a lovely bay with fantastic views. Though unable to use the outside area (weather) this would be lovely for breakfast, lunch, lazing, and sundowners.
Couldn't have asked for a better accommodation or location. The place is perfect and views are stunning. Will be returning and recommending to friends & family! Thanks again!
The house is beautifully located by the water and has a great outdoor seating area. It is centrally located in Co Donegal to be able to explore this wonderful part of Ireland. The house is well appointed with a large kitchen and dining area which opens out onto the deck.
Our family absolutely loved the house! Especially walking in to the beautiful view, with fresh scones waiting for you. It was perfect to sit and enjoy, and ideally located to venture off to other wonders of County Donegal. Close to the supermarket and a quick drive to Dungloe town with ample restaurants/pubs. A big thanks to our host!
Wonderful stay. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful views, can watch the oyster farmers at low tide. Lots of birds to watch in backyard. Warm scones, milk and fresh roses waiting for us on arrival. Highly recommend.
A beautiful cottage, decor is so pretty. Greeted with tea, coffee, hot chocolate milk and fresh scones. A fire of the bay and the oyster farm at the bottom of the garden. Thank you to Caroline for checking in with us and Natasha for a wonderful stay in her amazing cottage.
We spent a week in this delightful cottage…..3 generations, 5 adults and a baby. The cottage itself is really comfortable and beautifully appointed. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen / diner is airy and well-equipped, opening out onto the terrace with its wonderful views over the estuary. Everything has been thought of….it is a genuine home-from-home. Location-wise, it is only 10 minutes from Dungloe, which offers places to eat as well as good supermarkets. The area is stunningly beautiful and there are some magnificent, empty beaches within a comfortable driving distance. The entire booking process / management was excellent, with Natasha responding swiftly to any questions. Caroline was great - she greeted us, explained everything and had left the table set with tea and scones. We really loved this cottage and the area and would highly recommend it to others seeking to explore a beautiful part of the Wild Atlantic Way.
The Oyster House was situated in such a beautiful area of the bay. Completely private and quiet with plenty of charm and comfort. A well stocked kitchen made meals a delight while sitting on the patio. The house was well appointed with good communication regarding our arrival. A beautiful bouquet of roses along with scones was also part of our delightful arrival after a long day of travel. One can’t order weather but this trip was absolute perfection. We spent our days hiking and discovering beautiful beaches and we made two trips to the neighboring oyster farm for a tour and to purchase oysters that were being raised right in the bay. It was a huge bonus. On one cool and misty day, we found a sauna to rent that was situated looking out to the sea. It was a perfect way to relax on a cool day. This entire area was just spectacular and beautiful.

Thank you so much for staying with us . We would love to welcome you back again. Take care. Alanna
We originally booked this location for a June 2020 trip to Ireland; however, COVID restrictions eliminated this vacation. I never stopped thinking about this location. We FINALLY got it back on track, and I immediately booked this location.
The location is perfect. The bay is visible from the home, and I spent most mornings drinking coffee, writing, and watching the sea. Quiet and contemplative. The furniture is comfortable and laid out nicely. Loved the wood floors and the quaintness of the home (felt like a step back in time). The first day, a friendly horse greeted us. Caroline was excellent, helping us solve a couple of riddles that confounded unfamiliar Americans with how things work in Irish homes. This home was the magical center of my time in Ireland. HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
Our stay in Oyster Hoise was fabulous. It is beautiful and well maintained. There was lots to see and do in Donegal and the cottage was perfect for a family,
