About this property

GADLYS HOUSE - BEAU VIEW, family friendly in Beaumaris

This lovely sea-front flat is in the village of Beaumaris in Anglesey and can sleep six people in three bedrooms.

Gadlys House - Beau View is a quaint apartment on the second floor of Gadlys House, which is accessed through a shared courtyard entrance and staircase (with Gadlys House - Water's Edge), leading up to the first floor where there are entrances to both apartments. Through the door is another flight of stairs that leads up to Beau View. Although straight, the two staircases to the second floor may not be suitable for everyone, the less able or young children for whom stairs can be hazardous, but for the more able 'boy oh boy' is it worth it! From here you get the most magnificent views of the Menai Straight with the fantastic back drop of the majestic Snowdonia mountain range and views of the boatyard at Gallows Point and further down towards Bangor where you can see the Pier and Penrhyn Castle. Being situated on the sea-front it is perfect for watching the sealife and as the yachts which are moored opposite the apartment, a great vantage point for watching them get ready and setting sail for the Regattas that take place during the season on a Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon. The property has a homely feel but with many unusual features which make it unique, such as church chairs and a pew in the kitchen area. The lounge boasts large windows featuring beautiful sea views. It's a great location for families, being just a short walk from a large variety of interesting and unusual shops to browse and numerous great places to eat, drink or takeaway. Not forgetting the children's playground near the Castle and crabbing from the Pier. The flat features three bedrooms including one zip/lock king, two zip/lock singles, and a full-size set of bunk beds for the kids. The kitchen is well equipped for you to either enjoy your own home cooked meals or treat yourself to a delicious meal from one of the takeaway restaurants in Beaumaris. The sitting room has a large corner sofa and other various seating arrangements so the whole family can sit around and play games together as you watch the sun go down through one of the large sea-facing windows. The outside of the flat is on the seafront, so you'll be sure to be the first person to know when the tide is in and when it is best to go crabbing. As you can see from the sitting room windows Snowdonia is not far, so be sure to bring your hiking boots! Which you can also use on the many country and coastal walks near Beaumaris.
