Villa Essence - with A/C, heated private pool, hottub, gardens & stunning views!

Villa Essence is a unique detached villa on it's own 1000m2 plot, with heated private pool, jacuzzi, gardens, patios and stunning ocean and mountain views. The villa is situated just on the brow of the hills on the south side of the island in the peaceful village of Conil commanding far-reaching views of the southern mountains and ocean out to the islands of Fuerteventura and Isla de Lobos. Though rural it is only 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the main tourist centres of Puerto del Carmen and the marina at Puerto Calero. With a small local shop and a tapas bar within walking distance, and larger supermarkets just 5 minutes away in Macher and Tias, the villa is perfectly positioned for a relaxing stay. For those more energetically inclined the villa has a number of excellent walks closeby and easy access by bike to all manner of cycle routes, from the easy cruise to the seriously challenging. The villa is located directly on the newly created GR131 walking/mountain biking route which spans the island from Playa Blanca in the SW to Orzola in the NE - it literally goes past the gate!

Recently built for summer 2019 is our 7 x 3.5m solar/electric heated pool and fully equipped bike store.

*** LATEST NEWS *** Our pool has now been changed over to a salt-water chlorination system. Self-regulating and keeping the pool in perfect balance without harsh chemicals! For a softer, safer swim, great for children and those with sensitive skin. Try the crystal clear water at Villa Essence ! Since September 2022 we have been "full solar" with a 6 kWh solar panel installation that sees us Net-Zero over a year and from August '24 full latest model air conditioning !

Fantastic week at Villa Essence. Felt like a home. Really well equipped. Lovely hot tub and pool. We had some great days out. We did an amazing walk near El Golfo over the larva flats. Was a hit with all the family. Friendly people, great food, great snorkelling at Puerto Carmen. Fab boat trip. Volcano trip with Insillita was really worth it.

Great Location

We had a lovely stay at Villa Essence. We enjoyed the space that the villa offers particularly the garden area. The villa and the gardens are kept clean and tidy. We explored the local area on foot and thoroughly recommend walking from the villa up to Montana Blanca. The walks around and between La Montaneta and Montana Tersa are beautiful. The villa is very well equipped and the wifi was robust throughout the property. The heated patio area was ideal for enjoying the outside after dark. We thoroughly recommend a stay here. We have already booked for next year!

Beautiful Villa Essence with great views

We had a fabulous time in Debbie and Richard’s villa in the hills above Puerto Del Carmen. All their communications were spot on and the check in process worked smoothly with Laura, the property manager. The fact that the property is only a 10 minute car journey from Lanzarote airport was a real boon. Its central position on the island meant that nowhere was too far to travel to. The villa itself has all the amenities you require and is beautifully decorated. There is a fine heated pool and the hot tub was great for star watching on cool November evenings. There’s a small supermarket in the village, Conil, and even a tapas bar restaurant. Unfortunately, we did not get round to eating there but had a number of fine meals in nearby Puerto Del Carmen, Playa Quemada and, further afield, the village of La Santa on the west coast. We found the Hiper Dino supermarket, a five minute drive away in Tías, an excellent choice for all foods and household goods. We can thoroughly recommend Villa Essence and would have no hesitation in returning. Many thanks to Debbie and Richard from John and Lindsey.

A warm welcome to Villa Essence from the owners, Debbie and Richard

Richard is a keen cyclist and came to the island first in 2008 to train for long distance cycling events. It soon became his favourite destination for early season bike training - the variety of terrain and the dramatic landscapes provide a fantastic range of routes depending on how energetic or relaxed you are feeling on the day.

Debbie is more of a sun-worshipper and enjoys relaxing around the pool.

Why they chose this property

When renting a villa for ourselves we had gravitated towards the southern side of the island though prefer the quiet and privacy of rural locations, rather than the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas.

When looking for a place of our own on Lanzarote we chose Villa Essence, not only for the facilities and space it provided, but because of it's fabulous position. We have panoramic views of the southern mountains, ocean and islands, a peaceful location with dark star-filled skies (on clear nights!), and easy access by bike or car to the central spine road of the island and beyond. Maybe we should call that the wine road of the island as it traverses the many small but excellent vineyards and bodegas from La Florida in the east, to Uga in the west. For cycling, there are quiet roads and no big hills to climb first thing in the morning (!) but there are also a variety of local walks and direct access to the whole of the Timanfaya National Park. The villa is also directly located on the new GR131 walking/mountain biking route that spans the island from Playa Blanca in the SW to Orzola in the NE. Nevertheless we are only 10 minutes from the airport (though can't see it and seldom hear it!) and 10 minutes by car from the wide variety of shops and restaurants in the main centres of Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero. We think it's just about perfect. We hope you do too.
