Very well equipped, it is located in the countryside, in the heart of the village. For a weekend or for a week, an ideal formula for holidays in peace. At the heart of the Touraine vineyards, castles of the Loire, this fully restored barn is the starting point for excursions on foot or by bicycle ... Landscaped garden. (Pets not allowed)

Fantastic!

The best gite we have stayed in. Tastefully decorated, generous household appliances and goods (including sharp knives and everything you could possibly need to cook!), fantastic pool and hot tub, immaculately presented to the highest of standards and really friendly hosts in a great location. Beautiful Gite and Pool

Fabulous heated pool. Gite had all the kitchen equipment you could want. Friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful location in a very quiet hamlet a couple of km outside a village that had all the shops, cafes etc you need. The only way it could be improved is air conditioning in the bedrooms as we had a very hot week of weather!

A special holiday at Theneuil

Virginie & Herve are a delightful couple and made us feel so very welcome at their gite. We enjoyed our time staying there and it was wonderful to have the use of the swimming pool. Even my husband who is not so keen on swimming nowadays, went in with me twice as it was really warm, 30C! The gite is also VERY well equipped. Kindest regards to our hosts, From John & Marilyn

The Gite is just as it looks on the photos. Very clean and well organised and have everything you could possibly need and more. I loved cooking in the kitchen and eating either inside or on the patio. The outdoor pool is the perfect size and the temperature was amazing. When the outdoor weather wasnt as great the hot tub was a fabulous addition and was well used by us. Location wise we did a few bikes rides and the information left by the hosts in the gite was great. Lots of cycle and walking maps. Also we took our childrens bike but myself and husband used the bikes provided by the owners and these were great. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful gite and fantastic hosts

Gite location is very peaceful, with the garden and pool not overlooked at all, and the hot tub included with our week-long rental was a wonderful addition to our holiday experience on the cooler days. Also well-located for visits to Saumur, Chinon, Tours and with many chateaus within an hour's drive. The gite is superbly equipped and very comfortable, with electric 'blackout' blinds in the bedrooms to keep them cool during the day and very dark if you like a lie-in in the morning. The TV room has plenty of seating,but the extra sofa and chairs in the main room were great for being together during the day. Cooking facilities were great with a small range cooker, microwave and the gas 'plancha' (BBQ) was well used and easy to clean. Virginie and Herve are very friendly hosts, offering assistance when needed but otherwise allowing us to have a great time on our own, with the layout of their property allowing the gite to feel separated from their home and garden. Car parking was not a problem, felt very safe leaving it in the church car park, and the separate gate for us was very convenient. We were also invited to bring the car into the driveway to unload on arrival day right next to the gite, and load up the afternoon before departure, leaving the car there overnight for security. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay.

A wonderful Holiday

This was out second time at this amazing gite. Like everyone,we really needed a break after the stresses of the last two years.We couldn't think of anywhere we'd rather be than at L'esprit de Clocher. Virginie and Herve were incredibly welcoming and were there if we needed them but were otherwise discrete. Although the gite is within their grounds,it is very separate and affords privacy. The fabulous pool and the hot tub were so welcome, as were the black out shutters in the bedrooms. The beds are very comfortable and the water pressure for the showers is excellent. Walks from the gite are many and beautiful. Hubby took his bike and discovered an array of wonderful roads and lanes whilst never meeting another vehicle! We revisited a lot of castles that we had been to in 2018,our favourite being Chinon. We also discovered some new ones which we can highly recommend. They are Chateaus Usse, Langeais and Cande. We are already planning our return visit for 2023! Thank you Virginie and Herve.

Un havre de paix

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent moment dans ce gĂźte. Herve et Virginie sont accueillants, agrĂ©ables et sympathiques. Le jardin arborĂ© et la piscine ont un petit air de Paradis dans cet endroit calme et Ă  la fois proche des visites de chĂąteaux et autres incontournables de l’Indre et Loire. Et pour cela, Virginie et Herve aideront Ă  vous orienter. Le gĂźte est confortable et joliment dĂ©corĂ©. Nous reviendrons !!! Merci encore Virginie et Herve ! Et Ă  bientĂŽt !

Endroit calme. idéal pour une déconnexion totale. La maison est trÚs bien équipée et est conforme à ce qui est indiqué sur le site. Nous étions 2 couples et un enfant. TrÚs beau séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Theneuil, l'accueil de Virginie et Hervé au top. La région est belle avec de nombreux chùteaux, villes, musées, le Futuroscope et les vignobles. Au retour des balades ou excursions, la piscine et le jacuzzi sont les bienvenus permettant un relax maximum. Bravo à Virginie et Hervé pour ce gßte extra.

Nous avons séjourné chez Virginie et Hervé 2 nuits. Ils sont trÚs accueillants et discrets. Leur gßte est un havre de paix, reposant, trÚs agréable à vivre, et trÚs bien équipé. Le jacuzzi est un vrai plus qui permet de clÎturer les journées bien remplies !! Adresse à recommander les yeux fermés !

Excellent séjour

Logement confortable et trÚs bien équipé, Virginie et Hervé ont un vrai sens de l'accueil qui va bien au delà d'un simple échange locataire-loueur... Les environs sont riches d'histoire : Chùteaux de Rivau, Chinon, Azay le Rideau, Langeais.. Mais aussi de vignobles et de caves.. Aussi, il nous faudra passer plus d'un week-end chez Virginie et Hervé pour visiter la région et apprécier tout ce qu'offre leur gßte.

Superbe et paisible

Séjour trÚs agréable dans un petit cocon tout confort au coeur de la campagne. Les propriétaires sont trÚs accueillants et sympathiques, aux petits soins. Tout est pensé et organisé pour que le séjour se passe à merveille. Logement trÚs bien équipé, le jacuzzi est un vrai plus. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Nous avons passĂ© un week-end dans le gĂźte de Virginie et HervĂ©. Nous avons Ă©tĂ© accueillies avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de chaleur humaine. Ils sont adorables et vraiment trĂšs trĂšs accueillant. Quand au gĂźte en lui mĂȘme , il est tel que dĂ©crit dans l’annonce . Aucune mauvaise surprise ; c’est trĂšs mignon , trĂšs joli , trĂšs propre et remarquablement bien Ă©quipĂ©. Le jacuzzi et la piscine sont d’une propretĂ© irrĂ©prochable. Je recommande 1000 fois cette adresse ; j’y retournerai d’ailleurs avec grand plaisir . Un week-end est trop court pour dĂ©couvrir toutes les richesses de la rĂ©gion et profiter des Ă©quipements du gĂźte qui propose un repos fort agrĂ©able. Merci encore aux propriĂ©taires qui sont d’une gentillesse exemplaire.
