Modern Fisherman's Cottage with Stunning Uninterrupted Views of the Moray Firth
This beautifully built modern property is directly opposite one of the best secluded sandy beaches in Findochty, and has stunning views of the Moray Firth. In the 1800's fishing was conducted from this natural inlet and this is also where the famous painting 'Home With The Tide' was painted by James Clarke Hook, which currently hangs in the Tate Gallery. The house provides the perfect place for relaxation and unwinding. Spend some time wandering through the historic fishing streets and walk along to the marina to watch it's creel and pleasure boats, then amble up to the cliff tops to take in the panoramic views or even a spot of dolphin watching! There are other beaches within easy walking distance and opportunities to be more active with cycling, golfing and sailing nearby.

Everything about our stay was fantastic, the property was excellent, in a great location with sea views, and our own little beach. In the village there's a lovelly harbour, a well stocked shop and a pub that serves great meals. We did'nt see any dolphins, maybe next time.
Perfect location. Comfortable cottage with everything we needed. If I'm being very picky then we could have done with more places to hang/put away clothes. A few minor repairs needed but overall a good stay
We had the best time staying here , fantastic location and the kids loved the beach and my partner fished everyday in the sea , the cottage was lovely it had everything you would need , we would definitely return .
We had a wonderful stay at the Hythe cottage, lots of beautiful beaches and woodland walks. The Admiral pub is fantastic and lets dogs in the bar and lounge. Thank you to the owners, the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, we will be back.
Beautiful and functional property on a great location
We loved the village and the cottage. It is well
equipped, has a spacious master bedroom with the great views, very warm and comfortable.
Would recommend.
Return visit to cottage excellent location and cottage has everything you need. So chilled and relaxing just whst we needed. Our little jug Roxy loves it and her walks. Love the beach.
The accommodation lived up to expectations, very comfortable and well fitted out, good size for a family, if required. Very pretty village which is a great base for touring the area. Loved the beaches. Hosts on hand and very helpful.
Delighted to write our stay in the cottage was a pleasure. Gorgeous views, pleasant walks as well as easy to reach places of interest; Bow Fiddle Rock for example. We have recommended to friends, can't say fairer 😍
Fantastic house and location, everything you need for your perfect holiday. We were lucky enough to see the dolphins passing by . Definitely will return.
Had a fabulous stay here. Perfect spot right on the beach. So lovely to wake up to such amazing views from every window. The house itself was much bigger than expected clean and well equipped. Useful back yard to dry off the dog after his adventures on the beach. Lovely village setting with shop and pub and a great area to explore. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A very cute wee house right on the beach with a stunning view. Easy access to the costal paths and East Beach and just a very short walk to the rest of Findochty. Good location for exploring the area.
The house is relatively new and although we were 2, it would suit a family of 4.
House is in perfect location, house was spacious and exactly what we asked for, maybe add an outside brush and bin liners.
But other than that lovely spot to stay, highly recommend specially if going fishing!
We had a lovely weekend at the property, excellent level of accommodation, good communication with owners pre/post stay. Great location, quite literally close to the waters edge, small inlet/beach near to the harbour. Lovely coastal/beach walks on the doorstep and in close proximity. We would happily return and enjoy on a future occasion. Thank you.
I’ve been visiting Findochty since early childhood and once again we’ve had a wonderful relaxing holiday.
This is the third time we have stayed in this beautifully situated cottage with everything provided to complete our stay.
Tom and Ashley have been so helpful especially as we had to cancel our booking with them in the summer and then we were lucky to make a last minute booking with their help.

Local(ish) family of 3 who enjoy spending time here when its possible. Happy to share our holiday home and the views with others.
Why they chose this property
Immediately opposite a small cove, with its rocks and sandy beach, plus a grassy area which has picnic tables and a bbq area. Short walk from the harbour, local shop, pub and a few other larger sandy beaches. Very relaxing and a good escape from everyday life.
What makes this property unique
Traditional looking fisherman’s house but in fact a newly built property so has the character but also the cosiness.
