I loved my stay at this apartment. Everything was brand new, the AC worked perfectly and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is close to the market and to the main sites, making it easy to navigate. The private courtyard is very peaceful and quiet: there is no noise coming from the street. The owner is very attentive. There was a bottle of wine waiting for me on arrival and coffee pods. He also allowed me to have a late check out, which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this place for someone who likes being in the middle of everything but also loves to avoid the noise of the late night party goers.

Our location made it easy to walk to all the major landmarks in Ortigia and was close to many restaurants and local markets. We were very pleased with Angela, our host, who provided us with a well stocked kitchen and checked on us to make sure we had needed supplies.

Perfect location

Make sure to GPS exact address as this apt is in a courtyard. It’s super private, quiet and a short distance to everywhere you want to be. Unit is fully stocked and communication for check-in and out was seamless

Wonderfull small apartment in Ortigia

The apartment was clean, and well equipped with all you need on your holiday, including kitchenware. The hosts were very responsive and we had no problems during our stay. The apartment is a bit challenging to find at first, but once you get acquainted with the area you'll have no problems with the location.

Nice quiet location

Easy to find. Great location. Had a few issues that were quickly resolved by very responsive host. Bed was comfortable and unit was quiet. Could use a booklet in the unit with all the particulars about the unit. For example; the WiFi code, need to turn gas on under sink before you’re able to use cooktop, dumping water heater reservoir.

Great location but issues with water

Raffaele is a five star host. The location is great , around the corner to the market. The bathroom is very dated/old and needs to be refreshed. The water stopped working while we were there and it was explained that there was nothing he could do because it was the area. Luckily the area got more water and it came back on. The courtyard to sit at is a small area.

Great Stay In Ortigia

Fantastic communication and advice was provided by Angela the property manager, so helpful! The property is so easy to get to. It is just over the bridge and 2nd street to the right. Highly recommended for 2 people. It is cramped for more than 2 but doable at a pinch. The accomodation is very safe and secure! It is very near to the market and cafe's. All of the island is very accessible from here. Highly recommend the 2hour boat trip to the caves and a swim in the Mediterranean. The other tours are not worth it in our opinion. The Domo, Domo Piazza, Castle, Greek and Jewish districts are very much worth visiting. Ortigia was one of the Sicily highlights for sure.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Ortigia

We were in the apartment for two weeks and loved it. The remodeling of our unit was obviously done with taste and attention to detail. The location could not have been better unless you require a view but we were perfectly happy with “our little courtyard” and the proximity to everything. The only wrinkle was water pressure . It was a little weird but in now way diminished our enjoyment of our stay. We realized we were in a very old building in a very old town. It’s all part of the experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Our host Angela was very helpful and responded right away to any questions or concerns.

OK, but with shortcomings

The apartment was clean, nice updated kitchen and bathroom and in a nice neighborhood. Plenty of hot water for showers if you figure out the shower handle. Instructions were emailed to us the day before arrival and we accomplished self check in without problem Communication with host by Whatsup app, but not a very prompt reply if you have questions.Biggest shortcoming was the drainage from the waterheater in the bathroom with a tiny container about 6' up on the wall that needed to be emptied several times per day or you would have a big puddle on the bathroom floor.The bedsheets were less than desirable and the comforter was so heavy and strong smelling (like new synthetic material) that I had to take it off and bag it because it gave me headaches. AND don't get me started on the bed pillows, yuck, old and icky!There is a capsule coffee machine, but good luck finding the right size capsule! The host left some but they did not fit and we weren't up to buying some and guessing what would fit!Sorry, we stay in many VRBO's but this one was just missing some creature comforts that are important to us while traveling.

Salve carissimi ospiti che bello risentirvi…conserviamo sempre un buon ricordo di voi ma ovviamente ci tengo a precisare che il problema è stato risolto bastava un po’ di pazienza cosa che viene a mancare come il rispetto del lavoro e serietà altrui. La mia casa ha tutti i comfort possibili ….non so cosa cercava che non ha trovato ? Forse L impossibile!!!Per il resto l odore è dato dai vari capo sterilizzati come da normativa di legge in Italia. Ma essendo propensi al fatto che siamo comprensivi l aspettiamo nuovamente per un delizioso ed unico momento di relax come solo il Cortile Davi permette a suoi Ospiti

Highly recommend!!! Host was super helpful, location fantastic, so many details covered and wonderful. More than expected at price. Easy walk to transport, supermarket, swimming, sites and dining. Quiet at night yet central. Safe and secure . Wish I had booked more time here. Only issue was with Expedia not connecting with Vrbo for checkin info. Went directly through supplied host’s number. Used WhatsApp to communicate. Expedia issue, not host (who was great). Thank you for making our stay in your place so magical!

Gute Zeit an besonderem Ort

Wir hatten eine gute Zeit. Ortigia ist definitiv eine Reise wert, allerdings reichen hierfür 3-4 Tage. Die Bus- und vor allem Bahnanbindung ist gut, sodass man nach einem 20- minütigen Weg mit Bu und Bahn gut zu weiteren schönen Orten fahren kann.Für eine noch bessere Erholzng hätten wir uns im Appartment neuere bzw. feste Matratzen gewünscht.
