This property is perfect for families and couples looking for a great base to explore Coniston, Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere, Bowness and an abundance of Lakeland fells to choose from, including the famous Old Man of Coniston which is accessible on foot from the property. Coniston itself has a number of pubs, restaurants, bars and shops as well as stunning scenery around the lake.
You can take a short drive to Hawkshead and use the car ferry to get to Windermere where you can join the famous Windermere steamers to Lakeside at the southern end of Windermere, or Ambleside at the north. Also close by is Grizedale Forest with a fantastic visitor centre and some amazing forest walks and trails for cyclists, there is even an energetic high wire course up in the tree tops.
