Large Family Friendly farmhouse with Pool, Hot-tub , Bar and Games Room.

This fantastic 3* rated character house offers spacious accommodation for families or groups of friends. With private gardens, outdoor solar heated pool (seasonal) and hot tub. A great place to relax and unwind with family and friends.

The house is over 150 years old and has many original features such as oak beamed ceilings and a wood burning fireplace. Situated in the heart of Brittany the farmhouse is located in a rural and peaceful country setting, ideal for walking and cycling.

2 villages within 4km with a bank, bars, bakery, small supermarket and chemist. The larger towns of Josselin -4 fleur rated- and Ploermel are within a 15 to 20 minute drive.

6 very large bedrooms (all en-suite), comprising 2 with a double bed and 2 singles, 3 with a king-size bed and 1 single and 1 with a king-size bed.

All bed linen included. Hand towels only provided.

A very spacious lounge with seating with several 3 seater and 2 seater settees, 40” flat screen TV, ( French) DVD player .WIFI.

Magnificent Dining /Bar area with 2 x 6 seater dining tables. Purpose built bar area with pool table and fridges for your wine and beer. A piano for guest use and 2 well stocked book cases.

A fully functional farmhouse kitchen incorporating large 5 burner range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine. fridge freezer and separate fridge, kettle, 4 slice toaster, filter coffee maker, dining table with 6 chairs and a bench seat. Plenty of Crockery, cutlery etc.

Large Games Room and dedicated Internet Lounge.
The internet lounge has a cosy settee and chairs along with a well stocked book case for a quiet relaxing area. The internet room links onto the games room.

The Games Room has Table Tennis, Air Hockey, Skittles, Table Football, children’s Snooker Table, Chess, Xbox, with 28' TV, and various board games - plenty to keep you amused on those inclement days.

Large Private secure Garden, child friendly.

Gated, Decked solar heated Pool (seasonal) and Hot exclusively for guests. Please note the Hot Tub is only to be used by adults and over 14's.

Garden Furniture tables and chairs. Small football goal and toys.

2 large fields opposite for ball games.

Relaxing Family Holiday

Very nice property with all the facilities we required for an enjoyable family holiday. The pool, hot tub & large garden areas were all well used by all of us. Inside, the property is very spacious with plenty of games/books if required. The bar area with the pool table was the focal point in the evenings with plenty of fun competition to be crowned champion. All in all would certainly recommend for an extended family holiday.

We booked the Old Farmhouse for a family get together. The accommodation was perfect for our needs, with communal areas for meals, etc., but with bedrooms in separate areas (three blocks) to ensure privacy. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, which was also much appreciated. The kids enjoyed the games room and pool. The surrounding area had plenty of places to visit for kids and grandparents alike. And the hosts were very responsive if asked but respected our privacy. This all made for a fantastic holiday.

Family holiday in France

The old farmhouse is a beautiful property in a beautiful location and we would definitely recommend it to others. It is very well located for exploring the south of Brittany and there many interesting and beautiful places a short drive away. The house itself has everything you need and we loved having an en-suite bathroom for every bedroom. The garden is large and sunny and the pool and hot tub are a real draw. We would love to stay there again. Gina and Steve are very welcoming and can’t do enough to help you make the most of your holiday. Thank you!

lovely property

We had 2 weeks staying at the Old Farmhouse. Our family of 13 found it very spacious with lots to entertain us in and outside the house.The pool and hot tub were a delight, The bedrooms accommodated us very well, the 2 downstairs ones were good for the little ones as they didn't then have to climb the stairs. We found lots to do in the area, the children loved Kingoland and the dragon in Ploermel. We visited the Resistance Museum, Dinan, Damgan (lovely beach), lac au duc (again a lovely beach and walk around the lake) and various markets. Gina and Steve were very helpful and friendly, with advice on local areas and places to eat. Thank you so much.

Grande maison avec tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner pour un grand nombre de personnes. Grands espaces pour se sentir a l’ause. La salle de jeux a été très investie par petits et grands.. trop froid pour utiliser la piscine (froide également ) mais le jacuzzi a été un succès.. la forêt de broceliande est magnifique..

Le logement est spacieux et bien équipés au niveau loisirs (billard, table ping pong, spa, piscine). Une salle de jeux est à disposition. Seul petit bémol: la taille des serviettes de bain, un peu petite. Tout le reste est parfait.

Week end en famille. Chambres avec salle de bains et wc chacunes, ce qui est vraiment un plus. Enormément d'activités dans la maison, surtout grâce à la salle de jeux, piscine et jacuzzi notamment ! Domaine immense, au calme, propre, avec tout ce qu'il faut. Important également, la qualité de la literie, tout le monde, dans chaque chambre, a vraiment bien dormi grâce aux matelas de qualité.Très bonne communication avec les hôtes anglais. Merci à vous !

Très bon week end

Le gîte est très spacieux et très agréable, chaque chambre est doté d’une douche et d’un WC. Il y a des activités pour tout le monde ( billard, échiquier, jeux divers pour les enfants. Le jacuzzi est agréable malgré le froid. L’accueil par les propriétaires est sympathique.

Nous avons passé un week-end entre amis. Le logement est spacieux, propre et bien équipé. Les chambres sont équipées d'une salle d'eau privative (toilettes, lavabo et douche). La literie est confortable et les draps étaient impeccables. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine et le jacuzzi !

Een meer dan geslaagd verblijf met kinderen en kleinkinderen

De ganse familie heeft ervan genoten. Het huis heeft vele mogelijkheden zowel binnen als buiten. Erg behulpzame eigenaars: bij melding van het ontbreken van een geschikte bakpan werden er 2 dagen later 2 nieuwe gebracht. De bedden zijn aan vervanging toe. In onze badkamer was er geen legplank ook niet in de douche. De speelkamer is een groot pluspunt voor de jongeren.

After many years of wonderful holidays in France during our 35 years of marriage and now that our 3 children are all grown up, we have finally fulfilled our dream of owning a farmhouse in Brittany and would like to welcome you as our guests to come and stay and experience the beautiful countryside and make your own happy memories.

Why they chose this property

This property is unique in that it offers the opportunity for a large party of people to visit together. This could be extended families or a combination of family and friends as whilst the bar, lounge and kitchen are all connected, the bedrooms have separate staircases which afford privacy. It is a great family property with the large games room, internet lounge and bar for those days when you want to stay around the house. All bed rooms are spacious and ensuite, The farmhouse is over 200 years old and full of charm and unique features with the exposed wooden beams and solid wood doors. The outdoor space includes a solar heated swimming pool and a hot tub solely for guest use. The dog friendly secure gardens are mature and offer a sun terrace and plentiful outdoor furniture. There are also 2 fields across from the house for guest use for football/ cricket / picnics etc. The house is situated a short drive from 2 small villages with a bar/ cafe/boulangerie in both and pharmacy and small store available for all your basic needs. A more formal restaurant is 5 mins drive in another direction for celebrating those special occasions. The beautiful 4 flower rated town of Josselin is 15 mins drive away with its chateau / doll museum on the banks of the Nantes to Brest canal with miles of cycleways. The weekly Saturday market is a must along with apero and pizza in the town square!! Set in the heart of Brittany there are so many beautiful places to visit !! Carnac and the beach is approximately an hour to the south with the beaches and port towns of Dinan and Dinard an hour to the North.

What makes this property unique

Whatever the weather the large games barn is available for sole use of the guests. With table tennis/ air hockey/ bar football/ xbox / large chess set and dedicated area for children to use, whilst the bar area has wine fridges/ pool table and spacious banqueting area for the adults. The hot tub is available throughout the stay for guests and you can chill in the tub whilst looking at the stars!! Our swimming pool is solar heated but during those hot summer days it is a place for a cool dip after spending the day sunning on the terrace. The property is unique in that it is very large and all bedrooms are spacious and have ensuites with showers. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are great for small children or guests with mobility issues. The farmhouse is situated in rural Brittany and there are flat walks straight from the front door suitable for small children/dogs or for bike rides, whilst able to see the hills and the Broceliande forest in the distance on your walks.
