We had a lovely stay in the villa near Calatafimi. The villa is quite large with plenty of sleeping arrangements to accommodate a large group. Everything was well kept and very clean! Our host was very nice throughout the process and very gracious during our stay! Highly recommended!

Catarina is a fantastic host - very responsive. The house was very clean absolutely beautiful with incredible views and a beautiful pool.

Stunning House in Stunning Setting

We had a lovely stay at Caterina’s stunning house. Lovely outdoor seating areas meant we spent most of our time outside. Very well equipped inside. Brilliant to have kids dvds for some chill out time. A highlight to our stay was having a birthday meal cooked by Guissepina and later in the stay she came and did a cookery class. Thank you Caterina for being a great host. Easy to communicate with whenever required.

Beautiful country house a few Ks from Calatafimi town.

Beautiful house & surrounding countryside. Perfectly equiped house & productive kitchen garden. We were an extended family of 8 including 3 children 9,11 &13. We had a few problems with water & owners dogs but issues were dealt with promptly. The dogs are friendly but our slender 9 year old struggled to cope with their boisterous behavior.There are 2 outside cats as well but the person with cat allergy was o.k. Overall a very special place to stay.

Christmas Week in the Sicilian Countryside

Our Christmas Week in Caterina's Farmhouse was a pleasure! The large house was perfect for the 10 adults in our family. We immediately felt like it was a family house, visited when Caterina's children returned to the countryside to enjoy the long views and the lovely pool. Family heirlooms were everywhere, artifacts and paintings adorn the walls, desks and cupboards. A hidden library with a loft holds a season of books and maps. The spacious living room with three sofas surrounded the fireplace which we used each evening. The room also had a dining table for our evening meals. The Kitchen was so well supplied with everything we would have possibly needed. Navigating through the house up and down winding stairs gave us sense of privacy. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well supplied. The outdoor space had an outdoor kitchen, patio covered with a large trumpet vine and views of the countryside. The trees were filled with oranges and limes when we were there. It was beautiful!!

Superb accommodation and ideal location!

We arrived in the town of Calatafimi parked the car and visited one of the local supermarkets then called Caterina to tell her we where on our way to the farmhouse - but no, she insisted she and her daughter would come and meet us and they did. The road out of Calatafimi to the property is variable but driveable especially with a reasonably sized car (we had a Toyota Yaris automatic). Caterina's instructions on how to reach the farmhouse are both explicit and accurate. The farmhouse, it's location and it's outlook are all a pleasure to behold. We rented for 2 weeks - the 1st week, we had family and friends in total 8 persons in 5 rooms; the 2nd week we had friends from our village in Scotland in total 10 persons in 5 rooms. We were all adults and the farmhouse did offer seclusion for anyone who required it. We swam in the swimming pool every day and also had the quietness of the garden early in the morning and late at night (although the frogs had their moments in relation to noise!). The farmhouse is equipped with all the necessary facilities and more. Caterina arranged twice during the 2 weeks for friends to come to the farmhouse and cook a Sicilian meal ...this was appreciated by all! The cats were for ever present and the dogs "enquired" but were easy discouraged to do so if necessary. The farmhouse was ideal for exploring the western areas of Sicily and beyond ..... or for just chilling out! There is a winery just along from the farmhouse which we did not manage to visit however the wines we did receive through Caterina were excellent! Everyone we met were friendly and helpful. This was our first visit to Sicily but it certainly will not be our last!

Helt otroligt vackert hus och poolen med dess utsikt är helt underbart! Mysigt och välutrustat kök och hela huset är super charmigt.Vi stormtrivdes och Catarina är suverän på att svara på frågor.Enda lilla minus är kanske vägen. Gropig och grus men går ju fint att köra på...Toppen!!
