You will be greeted at Chateau Talence with its imposing tree lined avenue, horseshoe driveway and beautiful gardens, this beautiful French Victorian property was built as the former Mayors home in 1870 and has been lovingly restored by its current owners.
The property consists of 4 large bedrooms, 3 with en-suite and one with a separate bathroom across the hallway, the property comes with a gym, an outdoor heated pool and a hot tub, Patio with BBQ, two large sitting rooms with flat screen TV both French and English Channels, cosy log burners, wireless internet, large formal dining hall, each Bedroom has its own portable air conditioning unit and flat screen TV, up to two cots available upon request.
Modern fully equipped kitchen and separate utility room consisting of: Two ovens, Two microwaves, Two refrigerators, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. Ideally located for airports La Rochelle, Poitiers, Nantes and local attractions, towns & markets such as Puy du Fou, Futuroscope, Venise Vert, Marais Poitevin, Le Rocher Branlant, La Rochelle, Niort, Coulonges-sur-L'Autize, Fontenay-le-Comte and many more.

We bought Chateau de Talence as a holiday home to enjoy with our family and friends and to escape once in a while from our hectic lifestyle.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Chateau de Talence the minute we turned into the driveway, we knew we had to buy & restore her, we have been busy fixing and mending her to her former glory over the past year and a half and will continue to to do so in the future years by adding more features and improvements. The house is so very well located close to three airports, La Rochelle, Nantes and Poitiers, although in the countryside close enough but not on top of local amenities, There are plenty of lovely countryside walks to explore or a short walk into the village to the local restaurants or bakery. Slightly further afield is the port town La Rochelle with its beautiful shops and restaurants and stunning beach Island of île de Ré.

When booking Chateau Talence, you are booking the entire house. It is close enough to both Caen (4 hours) and Saint Malo (3.5 hours) Ferry Ports to reach us easily on the same day of travel.
