This quaint little cottage was perfect for a long weekend in St. Michael’s for a wedding. The host was very thoughtful and left us English muffins, jam and coffee.
This cottage of yesterday's appeal has all the modern conveniences of today. It has a very good location to see and experience all the sights in the area. The place is nicely decorated inside and well maintained exterior. We enjoyed our breakfast sitting on the back patio watching and listening to the birds.
A friend and I came in for a wedding weekend. We enjoyed our stay at Landon Cottage greatly. Judy provided everything we could have possibly needed plus thoughtful little extras. We sat out on the patio to have a yummy breakfast of English muffins and Judy’s fig preserves! What a treat! What a fig tree in the back of the property! Everything about the cottage was more than what I expected and I would definitely stay again if ever in the area.
I couldn't have asked for better. It was charming and beautifully cared for, located on a quiet and beautiful street. The owner put out some books she thought I'd like--very thoughtful, and I really enjoyed meeting her.
Extremely relaxing stay in a quiet spot close to the hustle and bustle of St. Michaels. We loved staying at this charming cottage (small house, really). Comfy bed, nice dining area for coffee and meals. Be forewarned if you need large TVs for binging. All channels are available, but the TV is small and sound is poor. Did not bother us!
Great hosts, answers all questions quickly!
Shout out to Lowes Wharf for sunset dinners and drinks and Two If By Sea for breakfast!
Our stay was based around a family wedding with us coming out of state. The owners were so thoughtful with no detail unturned! The cottage was spotless, with little amenities along the way. We were able to come back from each weekend event and relax, giving each person space. It is located in a tranquil little neighborhood. I was able to walk to the water every day which was also wonderful! We give this place five stars!
Everything was 5-star, from the impeccable cleanliness to the home made fig preserves and English muffins to the friendly owners, nothing could have been better. Everything we needed was provided. The owners checked on us to ensure we didn't need anything else. They brought over toys for our grandkids while they were visiting for an afternoon. I couldn't rate our stay or the facilities any higher!
This was the perfect end to our family vacation. Sherwood was quiet and the house was in walking distance to the Pier. The house was clean and cozy. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the evening and the short drive to Lowe’s Wharf and Tilghman. The owners left a nice message with the keys and English muffins and homemade preserves! Would definitely recommend for a quiet get away!
The house was quaint and in a small neighborhood away from other towns. It had a large yard and a deck, but we didn't see that much because it was raining a lot. The property is a few miles from rural Tilghman Island and also from St. Michaels which is more of a tourist spot. So easy to access those. The bay is all around, so you don't have to go far to see water.
Beautiful cottage in Sherwood,Md. Quiet, very clean and cozy. House was stocked with all essentials. If you want a place to relax this is it! Beautiful water view just around the corner!
Close enough to Cambridge for the Ironman Maryland race, far enough away for rest and relaxation. St. Michael’s is nearby for great dining, and the property was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend, will look at making another visit soon! Thank you!
We loved Landon cottage! The hosts are more than gracious. They made it very special. All the comforts of home provided, quaint village setting near to all the eastern shore has to offer. Loved it. Highly recommended.
The cottage was adorable! It was also stocked with everything you’d find in your own home, including reading materials of the area and flashlights. The cottage was clean and the linens were freshly washed and smelled great! This really is like staying with a family member! Thank you for sharing your comfy cottage with us!
Very nice house and location. Quiet confortable and clean, plus well maintained. There was a personalized note on the counter when we checked in and fig preserves in the fridge! Super nice touches that will make us come back.

Just like coming home...
Just everything in and around the cottage is made very, very nicely. Bread, butter, juice and fruit was waiting for us when we arrived late. The owners welcomed us like family. Thank you! I had a very nice time there with my 91 year old father.

Perfectly Charming
This is my second time staying at Landon Cottage. It is perfect. From the charming decor, to the personal extras that are provided by the owners, attention to detail, and delightful to communicate with. And location! It is in a quiet neighborhood, yet you are close to all that Talbot County has to offer, which is much. Love the fireplace, gas, great this past weekend for taking the morning chill off while having coffee. I highly recommend Landon Cottage.

Very special cottage and a wonderful small community.
This property has a lot of character and is perfect for a couple or small family. Very clean and nicely kept. We enjoyed the community dock and the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. Not too far from either St. Michaels or Tilghman Island. Perfect get away - we're already talking about a return visit!

Amazing Shore House
The Landon Cottage was an amazing place to stay, beautiful inside and out! Upon Arrival I was greeted by Harry who was very nice and helpful, he showed me the easiest way to get my boat into the driveway, he gave us a quick rundown of everything and was on his way. The Kitchen was great with lots of utensils/plates/cups and pots/pans to cook with. The dining room was beautiful and spacious as was the living room. The sitting room in the master bedroom was a nice added space to open up luggage and get situated. The house has AC and was kept nice and cool for the hot summer days, you can adjust it as needed. It was a nice quite neighborhood with a very short walk to the pier. Plenty of restaurants and things to do close by in St Michaels or Tilghman. I would highly recommend this home to anyone, it was only 2 of us in the house for our stay but it could easily accommodate 4 with plenty of room to spare. Judy and Harry also left english muffins, fig preserves and coffee in the fridge for our arrival which was a very nice treat. We will most definitely be back!

Just perfect! Comfy, cozy and convenient to so much.
The house was pin neat and the village of Sherwood was peaceful and quiet...and so friendly. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Great spot to either bike from to Tilghman (3mi) or St. Michaels (11 mi) or use kayaks (kayak launch available) on Harris Creek (creeks are large down here). Lots of history and beautiful sunsets. We would do it again without hesitation.

Cute, Comfortable Cottage in Idyllic Sherwood
Landon Cottage is a perfect little place to stay when visiting Sherwood. We are a family of four, so it is a bit tight, but perfect for a short stay. The bedrooms are upstairs, and the bathroom is on the first floor. The master bedroom is large and comfortable, although the window AC unit is loud. The other bedroom has a double bed and a small futon - no AC but fans kept the room comfortable on the hot summer nights we were there. The owners thoughtfully stocked the fridge with OJ, coffee, cream and milk, and also left a fresh pack of English muffins for us as well. Much appreciated! The house is very clean and cute and we had an enjoyable stay!
