Amazing villa, fantastic pool, you have to experience the sunsets from the balcony
Communication was great from the start, and I felt confident in our booking. Despite us being later than expected on arrival, (delayed flight and hungry children), our host was ready and waiting to welcome us.
The villa and pool area were all spotless and just like the photos. The Villa in reality is even better though.
There was always sun on most of the pool throughout the day (8-6pm), but there was shade from umbrellas and the trees, so you could find your happy medium.
We were a family of 2 adults and 5 children from teens to 4, and the area felt very safe for all. The teens enjoyed playing table tennis, whilst the pool was the main attraction.
Walking into the local town was really easy, it took us about 15min, and whilst it is all uphill on the way back, the views from the villa make up for it. Our 4yr old managed it even at 10pm after a full meal.
Sunset on the upper terrace is truly spectacular, I want to go back just to see another! It also and meant that we cooked more meals at the villia just to enjoy it.
The kitchen was well stocked with large pans ( a must for a larger family meal, but often forgotten). The only thing we lacked was some plastic cups so we could have water by the pool, and with tiled floors inside it was a must for my kids inside as well. I had taken plastic picnic plates with us. We were able to buy some at the local larger Synka supermarket. There are some tight roads getting there, and we found ourselves driving to the Lidl in Chania, which whilst further away, was easier roads and cheaper for our larger food shop. The small supermarkets in the local town have all other bits you need on a daily basis. There are also plenty of holiday bits shops, and a good pharmacy. We did struggle to find charcoal to have a bbq, but that was probably just me!
There was plenty of hot water, and all 7 of us were able to shower consecutively, with great water pressure.
The pool and pool area are just perfect. With built in steps in the shallow end and a ladder into there deeper end. The sun beds were also really comfortable, no cracked plastic nightmares of days past! The pool was warm and inviting, and kept crystal clear.
The local beach is small, but perfect to wander to for a morning or afternoon. There is lots of restaurant choice all along the front, so you are guaranteed a great view over the water as the sun goes down.
Wanting to return already!
