This traditional Cretan villa is set on the top of a hill overlooking a grand vista that has to be seen to be believed - as you sit on the open veranda and bask in the cool hill breezes, laid out below you are the gently sloping cultivated green hills of Tsivaras.

There is a gorgeous view of the red roofs of the village, which is perched on a nearby hill. The vista cumulates in the distance with a stunning view of the dark blue of the sea - a vast horizon of the bay set against the backdrop of a mountain range.

The villa itself is spacious with everything you will need as a base for your holiday of a lifetime in Crete and to top it all, on a level below the veranda, lies an inviting pool for cool, fresh swims. The pool sparkles welcomingly during the day and is lit up at night and makes for a stunning evening swim as the sun goes down over the mountains.

Downstairs the villa is offering a spacious open plan kitchen sitting dining area and a bathroom with shower +a laundry room. Upstairs there are two seperate bedrooms like mezzanine with high wooden ceiling .The view from both of bedrooms is just magic to the sea and the White Mountains.
The 45 square meter pool the completely privacy that the place is offering and the mature gardens all around complete the perfect pictoure for a unique place for your ideal holidays .. We had a fabulous stay in Emilia’s villa! The location is incredible for a relaxing and peaceful stay with an awesome view onto the bay. Would recommend having a car as it is just a short 7 min drive to the local seaside town of kalyves but not really accessible by foot.

Amazing!

The view really does have to be seen to be believed! It was so good for the soul to sit and just take in the view, the ambiance and the sound of the cicadas. Great to have the pool for a cool down and not far from the beaches, mountain villages and tavernas for a change of scenery. Emillia and Manolis were fabulous, friendly hosts and thank you to them for their goats cheese and gifts. Would definitely return.

Beautiful view!

Emilia and Manoli are great hosts and could not ask for any better. The property has a beautiful view of the area. We loved waking up and seeing the ocean and the mountains every morning. ⚠️ A word of caution to people with knee problems. I would not recommend this property for you, because of the staris that go to the beadrooms. They are very steep and would have a hard time going up and down to the rest of the house.

Villa Oneiro, Tsivaras - August 2019

We had a wonderful 2 week stay here which was our third visit to Crete. The villa is a traditional Cretan family home situated within an expansive olive grove and near to the owners farm. As such, typical road traffic noise is not a problem and is replaced by normal farm animal noises (sheep, cockerels, dogs). The road to the property is largely unmade and unlit and meanders for approximately 1km through the olive grove. A car is essential - check insurance cover (and excess protection insurance is also recommended). The property is not as luxurious as some we have stayed in but had all the necessary facilities for us as a couple and the views from every window are spectacular. The single bathroom/toilet has a short reach shower, which was adequate for us (larger families might struggle with this arrangement). The stairs to the bedrooms are a bit steep and may not suit young or elderly guests and storage in the bedrooms is limited. Having said that, these matters were more than offset by the spectacular views from the villa, the wonderful garden and the large private pool. Emilia and Manolis were excellent hosts, always available to help or advise when required as they live locally. The villa and pool were cleaned regularly during our stay and the many gifts we received during our stay were very much appreciated. We spent most evenings sitting on the large patio watching the sunset over the mountains, meteor showers in the clear skies, aeroplanes over Chania and regular ship movements coming and going in the distance (you will need some mosquito repellent and citronella candles as you do for most rural locations around Crete)! Kalyves is very close and is a lovely seaside town with all the necessary shops, supermarket, fuel, bank and many tavernas by the sea. The sandy beach and sea are great here and suitable for all ages. Chania is within easy reach and is a beautiful place to visit for its historic buildings, shops, harbour and tavernas particularly in the evenings. There are many places of interest to visit in this area including seasides, interesting towns, historical sites, botanical gardens, gorges, etc. We strongly recommend this area as a good central location from which to explore Crete, Thank you Emilia and Manolis for a lovely holiday.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Émilia était là du début à la fin avec des petites attentions culinaires fait maison à chaque visite. Une délice!!Maison très propre. La piscine est superbe.Rien à redire Le bonheur de se lever avec cette vue!Merci pour le séjour

Phantastisches Haus

Es war einfach nur traumhaft! Das Haus ist optimal gelegen, bietet viele Möglichkeiten und eine herrliche Aussicht von der schattigen Terrasse über den tollen Pool bis zum Meer. Die Betreuung durch Emilia und Manolis kann man sich nicht besser wünschen, man fühlt sich fast wie ein Familienmitglied. Eigener Ziegenfrischkäse, Olivenöl, Feigen, ja sogar selbst gebackene Teigtaschen wurden uns gebracht! Alles in allem 2 Wochen, die viel zu kurz waren und die wir nie vergessen werden.

Magique, Fantastique, Magnifique !!!

Après des années de vacances en Andalousie, nous ne pensions pas retrouver tout ce que nous aimions là-bas. Et pourtant, quelle ne fut pas notre surprise quand nous sommes arrivés !!! Tout y était. Une belle maison traditionnelle, propre, très agréable à vivre avec une vue magnifique sur la baie de Souda et les montagnes aux alentours. Une immense piscine très ensoleillée, très bien entretenue, la quiétude et surtout Emilie et son mari, des hôtes merveilleux, attentionnés, qui nous ont gâtés de gourmandises crétoises préparés par eux, de fromage, encore merci à tous les deux. Nous pensons bien y retourner l'année prochaine.

Wunderbare Ferienvilla

Wir haben herrliche 9 Tage an diesem wahnsinnig schönen Ort verbracht, der Blick auf das Meer und die Umgebung inmitten von Olivenhainen einfach großartig. Man kann sich nicht daran satt sehen . Die Villa ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für alle Aktivitäten in Westkreta. Toller Pool, Ausstattung perfekt. Zudem wurden wir von Emilia und ihrem Mann mit selbst hergestellten Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt. Vielen Dank dafür. Wir hoffen wieder sein zu können.

Un petit coin de paradis

Si vous voulez échapper au tourisme de masse, vous reconnecter avec la nature et rester au calme alors cette maison est faite pour vous ! La piscine est grande, agréable et très bien entrenue. La maison est parfaitement adaptée à une famille de 4 personnes. Attention toutefois aux escaliers qui mènent aux chambres qui sont un peu raides pour des très jeunes enfants ou des personnes âgées. La vue panoramique sur la baie de Souda est imprenable ! Notre hôte, Emilia, vient 2 fois par semaine pour nettoyer la maison, changer les draps et serviettes. Elle nous gâte a chaque fois avec des petites gourmandises crétoises réalisées par ses soins. Un vrai bonheur... Pour accéder à la maison il vous faudra impérativement un véhicule. Vous êtes proche des restaurants, de supermarkets, pharmacies.. vous trouverez tout le nécessaire à Kalyves notamment. Vous pouvez également flaner le soir à Almyrida (petite station balnéaire) et faire de nombreuses visites dans le coin ! Nous vous conseillons une petite visite à Kokkino Chorio pour voir les oeuvres d'un souffleur de verres (zompanakis Blown Glass-Art Of Living). Belle villa avec vue magnifique

Nous sommes un couple avec 2 enfants, nous avons passé une semaine dans cette ville. L'accueil de la propriétaire Emilia est chaleureux ! La maison avec un intérieur de style rustique est agréable et fonctionelle. La terrasse permet de profiter d'une vue magnifique sur la baie de Souda et les montagnes aux alentours. La piscine est toujours la bienvenue. L'emplacement est idéal pour profiter des plages et visiter la région de La Canée et Rethymnon et même se rendre sur les magnifiques plages de l'ouest (notamment Falasarna). Côté gastronomie, nous nous sommes régaler à la taverna Ta Douliana, restaurant sans prétention mais délicieux et bon marché. Nous recommandons cet endroit !

Tolle Unterkunft, tolle Umgebung

Einer der schönsten Urlaube, den ich je hatte mit unserer kleinen Familie. Ruhe, Entspannung, tolle Ausblicke dank der einzigartigen Lage der Villa auf der Spitze eines Hügels, inmitten ausgedehnter Olivenhaine und in der Nähe eines süßen kleinen Dorfs mit guten Restaurants und schönen Stränden. Die Gastgeberin hat sich auch toll um uns gekümmert - mit nützlichen Ausflugs-/Restaurant-Tipps und sehr viel Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundlichkeit. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Vue superbe et piscine top

Séjour très agréable dans la maison d’Emilia, qui est très prévenante et généreuse. Assez proche de La Canée, l’emplacement est idéal pour visiter tout l’ouest ( nord et sud) de la Crete. Nous avons adoré la piscine et la vue imprenable de la spacieuse terrasse ombragée, sur la baie de Souda. Merci Emilia pour vos délicieuses attentions culinaires.

Wederom een heerlijk verblijf

De vakantiewoning staat op en heuvel, met prachtig uitzicht over de baai. Een mooi zwembad, welke wel nodig was met het de hitte. Emilia, de huiseigenaar, heeft ons weer voorzien van heerlijke lokale en eigen producten. We daarvan genoten. Het huis was netjes en schoon, en met de Covid is duidelijk rekening gehouden. We hebben voor het 2e jaar opnieuw genoten van dit huis en de vriendelijkheid van Emilia.

Sehr schöner Panoramablick

Wir waren Anfang August mit 4 Erwachsenen für 14 Tage Gäste dieser Unterkunft. Die Lage mit Meer- und Bergblick ist sehr gut, auch als Startpunkt für viele Ausflugsziele ist die Lage perfekt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den täglichen Gebrauch sind in ca 4km Entfernung vorhanden. Die Vermieter haben uns den Aufenthalt durch ihre freundliche und fürsorgliche Art noch angenehmer gestaltet und hatten immer kleine Aufmerksamkeiten dabei. Wir waren gerne Gäste hier und möchten uns nochmals bei Emilia und Familie bedanken

Paradise on the hill

It was a superb vacation in Tsivaras, the view from the house is more beautiful then the pictures, the hospitality from Emilia and her family even better, the coutryside amazing and total privacy and quietness guaranteed. Heerlijk huis met prachtig uitzicht

Het huis staat op een heuvel met een prachtig uitzicht over zee. Heerlijk zwembad er bij. Rust en vakantiegevoel. Gastvrouw en heer verzorgden het huis en de schoonmaak prima. Daarnaast werden we door de gastvrouw regelmatig voorzien van lokale lekkernijen. Interieur was wat gedateerd maar wel typisch Grieks. Omdat we veelal buiten op het terras en bij het zwembad verbleven was het interieur van minder belang. Kortom een prima verblijf en van een mooie vakantie genoten.
