Unfortunately, you did not bring these concerns to our attention during your stay. Had we been made aware at the time, we would have been very happy to look into the issues immediately and do our best to resolve them for you. Regarding the musty smell you mentioned, we’re particularly sorry about this. You experienced three rainy and damp days during your visit, which may have contributed to the issue. I personally visited the house this week and did not notice any unusual smell. However, another guest mentioned a similar issue in April, when the weather was also particularly wet. As our summer guests have not raised the same concern, it may be related to periods of damp weather. Nevertheless, we take your feedback seriously and will continue to monitor the property closely and investigate further to try to identify the cause and prevent this from happening again. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve the experience for our guests. Regarding the towels, you mentioned this to us during your stay and we replaced them immediately. With regard to the umbrella, unfortunately, this was damaged during the previous guests’ stay. It was not the result of negligence or misuse, but appears to have been a manufacturing fault. As the umbrella is a high-value item we are currently awaiting a replacement from the manufacturer. Again had we been made aware during your stay that you required additional shade, we would have been more than happy to provide an alternative umbrella for you to use. There are also covered, shaded areas available around the pool. We are always disappointed when a guest leaves with concerns that we have not had the opportunity to address while they are at the property. We would much rather be given the chance to resolve any issues during a guest’s stay, where possible, so that they can enjoy their holiday to the fullest.
