About this property

Wildwood by the Bay.. lovely 3 room private suite.

Our home is uniquely located on the bayside of Wildwood, far removed from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to enjoy all the amenities of the beach and Boardwalk. At anytime you can see egrets, herons and mallard ducks milling around looking for a snack. Taking our canoe out onto the back bay , just steps away.. fishing is also a treat right on the dock where the scallop boats come in to moor. If you don't want to drive to the beach you could walk the six blocks or take our bikes. Not a problem. Great seafood store down the street so you can barbecue your shrimp on your grill.
We have a Lovely 1st floor unit with a private porch for you to relax on while watching the boats , both commercial Scallop fisherman steaming in and out as the traffic on Rio Grande Blvd comes to a halt and the drawbridge rises ever so slowly, waiting for the towers and outriggers to drift by..... and of course all the myriad local resident fisherman and pleasure boats of all types.
A full bedroom and full bath with a combination living room and kitchen. Great place for a couple or a party of 3. Secure parking and access to the marina down the street... just in case you have your own boat! Maybe you have kayaks? Bring them down!
As you drive down Montgomery Ave, you will know it not by the address , but by the Hibiscus, Date palms, banana plants and exotic flowers cascading down the porch railings onto the private front gardens
And of course all the amenities you would expect in such a unique home central air, Internet, wifi and a Sub-Zero under counter refrigerator with ice maker, Hammered copper sink w/ copper faucets, subdued backsplash with actual copper covered tiles.... We have the finest quality mattress and bedding ...I think that is one of the most important features while on vacation, being in a bed that's better than my own!! All you need to bring are your own beach towels. You will love our home.

Our stay was lovely from start to finish! The space is beautifully decorated and maintained and the hosts could not have been nicer, even greeting us with homemade cookies and some taffy, followed by fresh ground coffee when we mentioned how much we love it. We highly recommend this place and would happily stay again when in the area!

Great stay!

We loved this place! We were so comfortable staying there. It truly was a "home away from home" for us. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the place is very clean and beautifully decorated Our host, Tom, definitely went above and beyond to ensure my wife and I enjoyed our stay, it was like staying with a friend. Loved having our coffee on the porch in the morning, and a glass of wine there in the evening. Highly recommend!

Very Enjoyable! We loved the brand new air conditioner in the bedroom. Host family was on point from all aspects to include reaching out to us prior to our stay and through to the end. It was apparent by their hospitality that they took great pride in opening their house to us. Location was convienient to the boardwalk and most restaurants as well as the view from the porch was relaxing.

Wildwood bungalow

This location is on a lovely dead end street. Close to the beach, convention center and many restaurants. The owners were very friendly and easy to contact and work with. They provided all linens and towels. We would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing getaway by the bay

My hubby and pup, Lola, enjoyed our stay. It was so relaxing sitting on the porch in the mornings with coffee and at night with a drink to talk, read, or just watch the sunrise/sunset. Fabulous stay

My sister and I had a fabulous stay at this property. It was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having our coffee in the morning and looking out at the water. The property is located out of the hustle and bustle of Wildwood which we appreciated. The Hosts, MJ and her husband, were very gracious and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet storm

Nice little one bedroom sits near the end of Montgomery. A swanky little spot with a great front porch perfect for storm watching. Tons of great dining options close by. Nice romantic retreat for a couple to chill. Mary Jane was such a welcoming host and even tendered a couple of pieces of home made blue berry pie.

This place is adorable. The pictures do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated and very cozy. The front porch is so relaxing. MJ and Tom are the VERY nicest people. They do everything to make you feel at home. I cannot wait to go back again.

Quiet oasis

We enjoyed our stay at this adorable apartment even though it rained the first couple of days. It is located in a quiet section of town and the perfect location for our small older dogs. We had a small medical issue that required a quick trip to the emergency room and the landlords were so accommodating and helpful. Super nice people!

Nice and clean, great hosts, everything we needed to relax for a long weekend. Close enough to everything and far enough away for privacy. Say hello to the ducks that live by the water as they waddle up to the house every morning or brink a crab trap and enjoy the sea air off the bay. Quiet dead end road means very little traffic and the back yard is waterfront while the front has the docks where fishing boats are moored. There is a dolphin and whale sighting tour boat there too. We highly recommend this place.

Lovely get-away location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Wildwood. It was private even though part of a large home. The owner was very informative, pleasant and helpful. Very dog friendly! Has a nice porch for drinking coffee in the morning or eating dinner while the sun is setting. We borrowed the owner's bikes for rides on the boardwalk each morning. So close to all the action, but definitely a quiet section of town. We found going to the beach in North Wildwood a better option as there is kiosk parking along the street for up to 8 hours and the ocean is MUCH closer. Thanks for the wonderful stay...looking forward to visiting again!

Quiet retreat away from Wildwood but in Wildwood!

This place was an awesome retreat from all the action, but so close to all the favorite spots. My boyfriend had fond memories of the Crest and the rides of Wildwood, and this place was so close to all the spots that he wanted to visit. It’s located on a dead end street with only a few turns from coming onto the island. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with my dog watching people taking their boats out on the bay and hearing nightlife across the channel. MJ was very attentive to not only us but also my dog! This is a great place for that introvert get away who likes to hear Wildwood but without being immersed into wildwood! The porch was excellent and the sub zero fridge was the perfect size for our stuff, and moved that there was Ice! Would definitely stay again!

Home away from home

I am hardly at a loss of words, but sitting here to capture our perfect stay in a paragraph is challenging.... it was that good. MJ and Tom not only were communicative and endured that we had everything we needed, but they welcomed us with open arms to their property. They truly take pride in ensuring that their guests have all the comforts of home and everything they could possibly need or want. They even provided dinner and entertainment suggestions for myself and 7 year old son (and loaned us both bikes, compete with tune up from Tom himself!). We could not have had a better vacation. We will absolutely return. I can’t thank our gracious hosts enough.

Perfect little spot for me and my small doggo! This apartment had everything i could possibly need and the hosts were very attentive and friendly. MJ welcomed me and gave me a tour, also giving me some restaurant tips. It was very clean and has a lovely porch overlooking the marina/water. I sat there every evening enjoying my wine and listening to the live music across the water at a local eatery. The house is on a dead end street and everything around it is new construction. I could walk to several dog friendly restaurants, and there are 2 dog friendly beaches nearby. Higbee Beach is a 15 minute drive and is a hidden gem! The area is very friendly and safe. I cant say enough about how perfect this place is. Thank you MJ and Tom!!! Already planning a return trip!!

Comfortable and welcoming spot to stay in Wildwood

Checkin was easy; we were much later arriving than originally planned but MJ was very accommodating and was there to welcome us. Nice touches throughout the suite, such as plentiful hangers, nice towels, basic condiments like salt, pepper and sugar. WiFi password is posted in the suite. Place was spotless. The private deck was a nice spot to spend a lazy afternoon. Wet bar/kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses and utensils. We did not cook but you probably could prepare simple meals with the items provided. Probably the best under-counter refrigerator we have ever had; the freezer kept our items fully frozen and there was plenty of ice. We did have to drive to just about everything but we knew that when we reserved it so this is just an FYI. We went with our dog and there were plenty of places to walk her in the neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything we were hoping for!

We vacation on the Jersey shore nearly every summer, however, this was the first time that we decided to take our two mid-sized dogs along for the trip. Anyone with dogs knows how difficult it can be to find accommodations, and we were so excited to find this place, especially after we learned about the Wildwood dog park and beach (which is just a few miles away). This being our first extended trip with our dogs, we were a little concerned about how everything would go. We must say that everything was as perfect as we could have hoped. During the commute from home we received several text messages from the owner with great info such as food options and other attractions. We were travelling several hours and were delayed by traffic and weather, and despite our late arrival, the owners were available right as we arrived to give us a great tour of the rental and property. The rental itself was very clean and updated and made for a very comfortable stay. The property is located near the end of a quiet dead-end street with beautiful views of the bay. The location was perfect for our sometimes anxious dogs. Although it was on a bit of a secluded street, it was still just minutes from just about anything you could want to experience at Wildwood, including some great restaurants, public parking, the boardwalk and the beach. In addition, the private area helped us feel comfortable about leaving personal items such as bikes and beach furniture outside and unattended without fear that they would disappear. To summarize, we must say that this was just absolutely perfect. We 100% recommend this rental to anyone (dogs or not), and especially to anyone who wants to experience a wonderful beach vacation with their pets.

This was the perfect place for my husband and I and our small dog. The apartment had lots of natural light, and we liked being near the marsh/bay area. The porch was so relaxing. MJ and her husband were great hosts!
