Our ‘permanent’ home is in Belgium, Geert is Flemish (Belgian) and I (Heidi) am from Norway. We have lived in the UK for a number of years and have been lucky enough to have international upbringings and careers that have provided us with a love for travel, culture and all the richness of experiences that go with it.
We are both engineers by profession, but our work has focused on international business development. I (Heidi) retrained in Nutrition some years back and work with nutrition consulting and metabolic disease. Geert remains dedicated to international business but is also a DIY enthusiast, cyclist and recently a hobby wine farmer.
We escape to Spain, Norway or France as often as we can to enjoy outdoor activities and especially the climates and slower paced lifestyle that the mountains and Javea have to offer.
Geert is a wine-connoisseur and I love food!
This is in part why you will find an ‘honesty’ wine bar in Casa Andromeda – primarily stocked with wines from the Pinoso region south west of Javea and kitchen(s) equipped with more than the bare minimum.

Why they chose this property

Welcome to our piece of Paradise!

We fell in love with the incredible views and the peaceful nature of the area, yet its close proximity (10min drive) to the sea and to the towns of Javea and Moraira. And private space to sit on our own or together, in the sun or in the shade, undisturbed – just to relax and breathe! To be able to simply walk out of the door and up the mountain without getting in a car gives us access to nature and a natural park second to none.

Good friends introduced us to Javea in 2009 and kindly let us stay in their villa to get a feel for the area. Despite viewing 56 properties and almost buying an olive and almond farm in the mountains outside Pinoso, we kept coming back to Javea:
- A stunning mountain, a beautiful coastline, spectacular views, a true Spanish old town with real culture, traditional markets and fiery fiestas, history and family life; inhabited by young and old throughout the year
- No incomplete urbanised holiday developments that are lifeless out-of-season and no high-rise hotels or apartment buildings.
- A truly international population; working, retired or holidaying, and as a result; a multitude of restaurants and bars to suit every budget, every taste and every standard, at all times of year.

Thanks to history, and the fact that the discerning Spanish have supported and protected Javea & Moraira from mass tourism, this area remains the perfect holiday destination for those who are looking for quality, and not the mass tourism of quantity.

What makes this property unique

We both appreciate beautiful nature and beautiful things, so we do our best to surround ourselves with who and what inspires us. The Panoramic Apartment not only has it´s stunning views but is ideal for those people that like to explore. 15 minutes to Moraira & Jávea with their rich cultures and 20 minutes to those inland areas that are ideal for those that like to get back into nature. You choose how you want to spend your well earned break. We love this area so much that we got married here.
