Twenty Three Tortugas

Located on the pristine white sands of Fort Morgan, Twenty-Three Tortugas offers guests amazing views, a perfect beachfront location, and a beautifully renovated interior.  This 3-bedroom beach cottage sleeps up to 9 guests comfortably. Twenty-Three Tortugas is pet-friendly for up to 2 dogs, 40 lbs each with additional pet fees. 

About Twenty-Three Tortugas

Serenity and quality family time will be a memory for anyone who spends their days and nights at Twenty Three Tortugas. The Gulf, sand, and tranquil nights will bring you back again and again. You can take walks on the beach, view amazing sunsets, and enjoy a cool beverage while relaxing on the deck. The updates and attention to detail in this newly renovated cottage should not be missed!
Inside the open living area has plenty of comfortable seating and fantastic Gulf views. The kitchen boasts beautiful countertops, backsplash, cabinets, and stainless appliances. The dining table seats six and there is additional seating at the island. Guests will love the additional refrigerator and laundry sink found in the laundry room.

The master bedroom features Gulf views, a TV, a king bed, a small office/sitting area, and a gorgeous private bathroom. Bedroom #2 features Gulf views, a TV, and a king bed. There is also a twin over full bunk bed so the room will sleep 5. Guests will appreciate the 2 bookshelves full of books and the sitting area found in bedroom #2. Bedroom #3 has a TV,  and a queen bed,  and shares a hall bathroom with bedroom #2.

Outside guests will get the best of both worlds. A covered porch complete with comfortable seating and an open deck for soaking up the sun, both located in the front of the house. Guests can start and end their day with the sound of the waves, rain or shine! There is another covered deck with rockers at the back of the home where guests can see Mobile Bay in the distance. Twenty-Three Tortugas is a beachfront home that you don’t want to miss! 
 
About Fort Morgan
Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes.  However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.  We have no exception to this policy.

The house was beautiful & clean; exactly how it looked in the pictures. And we got to see dauphins playing in the water from the back deck as soon as we got there. Absolutely nothing to complain about other than the fact that we had to leave!

Great House!

House was beautifully decorated and very clean. Loved that the deck was closed in so that our fur babies could roam out there safely. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was nice and plenty of towels and bed linens. Would stay here again for sure! Had our first family vacation to start our tradition.

23 Tortugas!

Less than thirty steps to the beach. Creative and charming interior. We have visited everywhere from St George to Dauphin Island, and this property is in our top five. We'll be back.

Nothing Beats Fort Morgan Beach

Property was as described. We were literally steps away from the beach. Enjoyed having morning coffee & eating meals on the outside deck overlooking the Gulf. We we're far enough away from all the touristy crap and congestion in Gulf Shores, but still close enough to hit FloraBama and do some shopping. The weather was incredible and the beach immaulate!

We loved this house and it was a nice surprise that it already had some sand toys and stuff. We left things for the next family. The beach area is great for pics and we saw tons of dolphins and wildlife!

We have never stayed At a beach house before and it was awesome! Loved love loved our private beach and the sand dunes in the back made great maternity pictures. The house is big enough for 10 comfortably and has a great layout. Only thing that I would change is to update the bathrooms.

Great vacation

This property was great for us. Right on the beach, clean and comfortable beds. The only thing i was unsure ofI think its listed as a screened in porch and it was not. This made the bugs really bad. But that was the only issue that wasnt big at all. Will look into staying here again!

Beautiful house, great location on the beach

We loved our stay. Location was great and house was homey and beachy decorations. Had a bad knee and enjoyed the deck and sunporch overlooking the gulf while reading a few of the books in the houses collection. My husband is a history buff and Loved the war books. Only disappointment was trying to book it for next year before we left and it was already booked. O

Wonderful experience.

Had some confusion prior to arrival regarding our pets with the pet agreement, but that was easy to iron out with the property company. Then noticed in a text that although our check in was at 4pm they said they couldn’t guarantee the house would be ready by 4. Caused a little anxiety as we had been traveling for about 12 hours, but it was ready when we got there. Maybe leave that out and personally notify of individual delays. House was gorgeous, view was amazing, beach was perfect! We traveled with our dogs and they loved the gate-secured deck! But we noticed occasionally that clumps of hair from a precious visitor (seemed like a wire haired dog) would churn up from around some of the decorations on the floor. Not a big deal to us because we’re dog people, but could be for someone who doesn’t care for dogs or pet hair. Overall fantastic stay! Everything worked as it should! Plenty of extra blankets and more the ample closet and storage to unpack! Access to the beach was top notch! The little visitor guide was super helpful and a very nice touch! This place could be someone’s home away from home for sure! Loved the wash station on the deck, super convenient! Everything seemed very well thought out for guests. We’d definitely try to book Twenty Three Tortugas again! Caution to future guests, if it’s foggy, be very careful pulling out onto the main road! I didn’t know fog would be so thick some days so be careful.

Surprised

For how much money this cost we were very surprised of the condition that the property was in. The rental company was not fun to deal with. They even ask if we could help them out from the storm which I was happy to do. And asked if we wanted to stay an extra day at a discounted price since the new people were not arriving the day we were leaving. But when we ask to have an hour late check out they said oh NO we have to clean for the next people, but they offered us another days stay so no one was coming that day any way. Figure that one out, and I have this on text message from them. Well the Ocean view there was super nice! You might want to try VACASA RENTALS that was are next stop and it was First Class all the way! Harris Properties is lacking in all aspects especially in customer service.

Family reunion

Rental process was easy, house was clean and served our needs quite well. We originally were having my step moms dog with us but unfortunately she had to put her down a few months before our trip. The management company promptly removed the pet fee from our invoice. It was nice to have them so responsive and caring during that difficult time. Check in and out was simple. Very good experience!

Overpriced

This house needs some serious rehabbing for the prices it charges. Master bathroom shower was so broken I was afraid to cut my feet. Coffee maker was rusted. Steps to the beach were falling apart. Main living area which was newly rehabbed was nice. But the bathrooms need serious updating

Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay. The beach access was perfect. The house itself is in need of some updates. Mainly the master bath. It was clean enough but felt dirty due to the tiles that need repainting. The house didn’t smell clean (I think it was the couch) The flooring in the house looked new, and was nice. The stairs off the deck were new. Despite the bathroom and the not so fresh smell, I would consider staying here again due to the location and the size and layout of the house. I do have a few recommendations. First, more towels. Second, sheets on all beds. The trundle bed did not have sheets and I could not find any for it. My daughter later found them wrapped up on top of the bunk bed in the other room. My son didn’t mind thankfully. For those that want to stay here and plan to cook: there are plenty of plates, utensils, baking sheets, pans, etc. you will need to bring everything else. Salt, pepper, aluminum foil, pan spray and even dish soap and a scrub brush for washing. None of this was there. Overall, it was an A+ for proximity to the beach. C for cleanliness. Not luxurious, but fine.
