It has been tastefully renovated throughout and retains many original features. Providing comfortable accommodation for two guests, the apartment has a beautiful tiled floor in the dining hall, and its very own Monk’s Pew! Rigg is a quiet little village a stones throw away from the world famous Gretna Green. This ideal location is only minutes from the main A75 and M6, perfect for exploring the area. Gretna Green, one of the world’s most popular wedding destinations due to its romantic wedding traditions dating back to the 1700s, is well worth a visit. It is possibly the most romantic village in the UK and has become synonymous with romance and runaway couples. Marriage ceremonies are still performed over a blacksmith’s anvil and Gretna Green attracts thousands of couples from all around the world to be married each year.
