Very quiet and safe. Deborah, the host, was quick to respond and very helpful with places to eat, activities in the area, and places to visit. Location was great as it’s an easy walk to City Centrum and the train station. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfy and cosy

We stayed one week at this location and had a wonderful time. Very nice place to get back to after a long day of walk/bike. 10/10 for us.

We loved our cute and quiet back yard cottage, Deborah's creatively done hiding place, all 200 square feet of it plus a lovely loft space above to sleep in! The kitchen had everything we needed for home cooking or just making coffee, the bathroom was spotless and easy to use, the sitting area was nice for reading and/or taking a nap, :) the bed was comfortable and the outside garden was really nice. The location was perfect for us: walking distance from the train/bus station, the center of Alkmaar, organic bakeries, nice restaurants and swimming pools! :)Deborah is a very generous and warm host, checking in every once in a while with her friendly manner but not imposing in any way. She started us off with a lovely small bottle of Prosecco, one of my favorites! She has lovely taste in color and seems to have a fun creative streak, which we really appreciated. We'd stay at her place again any time...Thank you, Deborah! Tot straks! :) Caroline

Short weekend break

Property was perfect for our stay, central locaion meant we had plenty of time to explore. It is comfortably with clever use of space. Deborah is the perfect host, offering local advice to venue's easily missed. We will definitely revisit.

Cozy Adventure

If you are looking for a cozy cottage then you have found it. This tiny home has a spacious bathroom, small but comfortable sitting area looking out at a garden and a loft bed that is reached by a ladder. The location is fantastic. You can walk to everything!

Warm, cozy hidden place

Everything during our stay went easy and perfect, Deborah was a wonderful host and gave a lot of tips for the time of our stay. The tiny house is a bit closer to Deborahs house than we thought it is, which would be the only thing that wasn't even that negative, but unexpected because with a small kid, we thought the garden might be bigger to play in. But directly in front of the house ist a small playground, so it was fine in the end. The house itself is wonderfully and clever designed, we were able to cook some easy meals in the kitchen, the shower was big enough for a good shower and we had four good nights of sleep. Thanks Deborah! :)

Klein und nett

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in Alkmaar, von wo aus man auch sehr gut nahe Strände (Bergen aan Zee, Petten, ...) erreichen kann. In Alkmaar selbst gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Gastronomie in kurzer Entfernung. Unterkunft schön eingerichtet, sauber und klein. Für große Leute etwas eng, insbesondere die Schlafmöglichkeit unter dem Dach. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin, die das Vorderhaus bewohnt. Sie hat uns auch einen Parkausweis für Gäste zur Verfügung gestellt, mit dem man bis zu 3 Stunden um die Ecken parken kann.

Goed verzorgde rustige fijne plek.

Deborah had Haar huisje smaakvol en goed verzorgd ingericht. Na een gezellig gesprek voelden we ons thuis. Alles is dichtbij en we vonden Alkmaar ook n echt juweeltje.

Alles super! Kleine Anmerkung: Es gibt keinen eigenen Parkplatz! Nur einen Anwohnerparkplatz, der aber nicht immer freie Plätze hatte. Hier gab es auch nur eine Parkscheibe, die einen drei Stunden kostenlos parken lässt.
