Hospitible host , quality accommmodation with excellent facilities and at a fair price.

Lovely welcome from a helpful host. Very pleased with the facilities and little extras like having cling film available in the kitchen along with tea and coffee milk welsh cakes and towels in the bathroom. Self catering but with so much provided. Comfortable bed wi fi good etc.

Excellent stay

Very bright, clean room with lots of facilities and personal touches. It felt like home rather than a characterless hotel room. We met one of the owners and he was very friendly and helpful. It’s a pity we were only staying for one night. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks.

What a wonderful little hotel

The hotel room was beautiful, the facilities in our room were great and the room was kept so clean the entire time we were there. We were there on a mountain biking holiday and we were able to keep our bikes locked up over night to keep them safe. Great place to stay if you thinking of Bike Park Wales or exploring the Brecon Beacons as they are both so close! The owner Claire was wonderful and so friendly for our entire stay and so helpful too! We will definitely be returning in future!!

Exceptional.

Large, well appointed room with separate kitchen, all mod cons. Good shower. Sofa was a bit uncomfortable after about 30 minutes, but still miles better than the usual "desk" chair. Clear directions e-mailed before arrival; I wish I worked in the area more often.

Cozy, extremely clean and nicely furnished room with friendly host

Our stay at Glenthorne was very pleasant and enjoyable. Claire is a very warm and friendly host who even took time to engage our six year old son. We booked two rooms at Glenthorne and were impressed with the decor and furnishing of both rooms. The rooms were very clean and thoughtfully laid out. The self-catering area was not big but sufficient for cooking simple meals. Daily housekeeping was a plus too.

Outstanding

Clear instructions how to find and enter property. Room well furnished (sofa was a bit knackered, so a bit uncomfortable, but it still made a change from the usual "desk" chair). Bathroom clean, good shower and... a proper, working kitchen.

Welsh hospitality at it's finest!

Claire and her team are the sweetest and are genuinely caring. They went out of their way to help us and make us comfortable when I travelled with my mother. The house is well kept and was a nice haven at the end of a busy day. Location is good. My only very minor suggestion would be to put a shower caddy in the shower because you have nowhere to put your shampoo and soap while showering. Thank you for a great stay.

Perfect accommodation, especially for mountain bikers!

Visited for mountain biking and stayed for 3 nights. Spent 2 days at bike park Wales (10 minute drive away) and spent the first and last days at Afan forest park, only about a 45 minute drive. The room was very clean and cosy with plenty of space for a couple. It was well equipped, particularly the bathroom came with fancy shampoo and conditioner! The kitchen had everything we needed and when we noticed there wasn’t a cheese grater Claire got one straight away.
