About this property

Double Room

Our accommodation has fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your stay. The Lounge area has a very comfy Sofa and we have also installed Freesat and Wifi internet ( Included) for you.The upstairs has a very spacious bedroom with high ceilings and en-suite shower room. All towels and linen are provided for your stay.We have incorporated original features of the barn to make your stay an authentic one. You also have your own private garden area to relax in. A BBQ is also provided. You can also access our very large garden for your own use too.
The location of our Gîte is perfect for people looking for a quite place to relax, stopping through or if you want to live the true Burgundy experience.We are Lesley and Paul. We set out to France to persue our dream of living in an old stone farm house and renovating barns, stables etc to offer as Gites. Our Gite offers a light, comfortable place for you to stay, whatever your means are for your stay in France. We are located about 40 minutes from Dijon, 30 minutes from Beaune and 10 minutes from Chateaux Neuf.

Lyon is a mere 2 hours drive, making our location also a very good stop over point if you are travelling south or on your way back home.We do offer a breakfast service if required, however our accomodation has fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your stay. The Lounge area has a very comfy Sofa and we have also installed Freesat and Wifi internet ( Included) for you.The upstairs has a very spacious bedroom with high ceilings and en-suite shower room. All towels and linen are provided for your stay.We have incorporated original features of the barn to make your stay an authentic one. We will welcome you personally on arrival on which you will receive your welcome pack. We run our business with clarity for our customers. What does this mean? We have no extra costs, the price you see is what you pay. We have NO extra cleaning costs, water or electricity bills, internet charges etc. We are located in the small quiet village of Essey, but we are only 10 minutes from the motorway making us a prime location for all activities. Golf, fishing, walking, biking, wine tasting, shopping, restaurants, bars and bird watching or just relaxing in our large garden are just some of the acitivites that are available to you.
You do have your own private garden area for only you to use, but we do also welcome you to use our large garden ca 3000m² if you wish. Paul is a very talented artist of which his pictures are available for you to purchase.

A very relaxing time in a holiday home lovingly furnished by a very hospitable landlord.

A house in a quiet environment. Equipped with everything it needs for a stay. From the parmesan grater to the towel, everything was there. The garden invites you to have breakfast with a view of the greenery. A good base from which to explore Burgundy.

Gite is well placed for trips in many direction. Delightful garden and access to owners orchard beyond. The gite itself is spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped. Bonus of having a covered area with bbq. Parking immediately outside gite.

Prefect Location

Lesley and Paul are the prefect hosts. The property is spacious and very well equipped. There is also an adequate outside area with BBQ, sun loungers etc. Free range eggs, together with homemade jams and chutneys are available for purchase, and I can recommend the homemade Apricot Jam. Overall, we had a very relaxing week.

Lovely gîte, amazing host(s), perfect for a long stay to discover Côte-d'Or (Bourgogne).

This was our first time on a vacation as a couple, and it couldnt have been better. The hosts were amazing, whenever we needed something they helped us out. Besides that, the gîte was lovely, we went there for 12 nights. Everything you could imagine was there. The bedroom is quite large, the kitchen and the living were in the same room, but that gives a cosy feeling. The garden in the back of the gîte is nice and whenever we needed more space, we could use their garden as well.

Perfect place for us to spend part of our honeymoon! Nicely decorated, clean, well-equipped modern gite with the old charme of the barn it is built into. The highlight is a private garden with terrasse to relax and to enjoy the calm environment. There is another apartment directly next to it, but an overgrown discrete fence ensures privacy without building walls. Child / baby-friendly. The owners are adorable and communication was quick & easy. Next bakery, supermarket at 10 min drive.

Séjour fabuleux, on reviendra

Accueil de Paul très sympathique. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce gîte qui est un petit paradis. Le confort, l'aménagement est complet, la décoration est de bon goût, tout y est. L'endroit est très bien situé pour visiter la région et revenir s'y reposer au calme des chants des oiseaux et à l'air pur au milieu des arbres. Merci Paul pour ton accueil, nous reviendrons pour faire également connaissance de Lesley. Thank You so much!

Wir haben 10 entspannte Urlaubstage bei Paul in Essey verbracht! Er ist ein fürsorglicher und entspannter Gastgeber! Die Unterkunft ist noch schöner als es die Bilder, liebevoll eingerichtet, bequeme Betten, eine komfortable Dusche. Auch an Ausstattung fehlte es an nichts! Die Umgebung lädt ein, um mit dem Fahrrad erkundet zu werden, Dijon, Beau e und Nuit St Gorges sind 40 km entfernt. Zum nächsten Baguette 10 Minuten. Ein tolles Ziel in der Nähe: Chateauneuf. Es war nicht unser letzter Urlaub in Essay.

Schöner Urlaub in liebevoll eingerichtetem Haus

Urgemütliches Haus und sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Die Umgebung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sehenswürdigkeiten und interessante Städte wie Dijon oder Beaune mit Auto gut erreichbar. Jederzeit wieder.
