About the host
Hosted by Charles
Hi, I'm Charles. I run Colbeh with my wife, Lucy, and our children Katie and Ollie. I grew up near Fowey and, as our children have grown up, we have enjoyed spending family holidays here, and are now thrilled to be introducing our grandchildren to Cornwall’s many charms.
Why they chose this property
The moment we set foot in Colbeh and saw the stunning river views, we knew it was the perfect property for us and our family to continue visiting our favourite part of Cornwall.
What makes this property unique
Colbeh is the perfect base for experiencing the beautiful Fowey river and surrounding countryside. If you’re looking for a quiet and tranquil retreat, it is impossible not to relax and unwind while spending time here.
Golant is a charming, waterside village with a pub, watersports centre and cafe. You will be enchanted by its beauty and peacefulness. Positioned in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Golant boasts scenic views all year round. In the summer the river is a popular location for boating activity and in the winter left mostly to cormorants, egrets, mallards, herons and kingfishers that make the river their home.
