The apartment had not been cleaned on arrival, there were 2 baking trays in the oven that were caked with old grease and dirt, the bin smelt disgusting, the bathroom was mouldy and not fit for washing, the rug was dirty and had old fluff and bits of dirt on, there was dirt on the kitchen floor, in the freezer there was what looked like blood from meat that had dripped through the freezer baskets and was pooled in the bottom of the freezer. The apartment was so filthy we left on the 1st night of our booking. Parking was approximately 15 minutes walk and it was very complicated to register your vehicle for the car park.

Ideal as a base

A compact apartment in the heart of York, ideal for 2 people. The apartment is exactly as listed and communication from George was excellent from the moment of booking. We used it as a base to go horse racing in North Yorkshire and County Durham and it turned out to be perfect for our needs. Being based in the heart of the city it was ideal for exploring this vibrant place, with its numerous bars and restaurants and places of interest. We will definitely return but next time will allow extra time to explore the city, as there is just so much to see.
