Fabulous luxury stay in Kenmare

Our family of 2 adults and 4 kids had a wonderful stay in Gerard and Joan’s house in July 2021. The beautiful house and gardens exceeded all expectations. The location was superb - a central base from which to explore the Iveragh and Beara Peninsulas, with literally dozens of attractions and landmarks within easy striking distance. The nearby town of Kenmare, only a few minutes drive away, provided an array of shopping and dining options, as well as some very interesting historical and recreational sites of its own, well worth visiting. The house is set on a large site with an expansive garden, which provides a very private setting. The garden was very well kept and provided a great exercise outlet for our energetic dog, George, who explored every corner. We used the outdoor decking area for some of our evening meals when we weren’t trying out local restaurants! Inside, the house was extremely spacious with a very modern open-plan kitchen living and dining room area. The large bedrooms had comfortable beds with lots of available space to unpack and make ourselves at home. The house was spotlessly clean and superbly equipped with everything we required for our stay. Our hosts, who checked us in personally and gave us the guided tour, kept in contact with us throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed, and had really good ideas for activities that our family might enjoy. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property for any family or group looking for a luxury stay in the heart of Kerry.

We had a great time at this property. Gerard and Joan could not have been nicer. We were really sorry to say good bye to them as well as to the property. It's beautiful in and of itself and also perfect for exploring both Beara and Kerry. i can't say enough good things about the whole experience. We did not want to leave.

big comfortable house near Kenmare: a great base for exploring Kerry

The property was very good, in a quiet location close to Kenmare, and entirely in line with the description provided. The owner was very responsive and helpful.
