The coziest little home! Like out of a storybook. It’s clean, well stocked with things like soap, detergents, kitchen equipment, even some kids’ games and a high chair! We are smitten.
Jen was very helpful and the cottage was nice, I had to sleep on the bottom bunk bed, which took a bit of adjusting to heh heh. Only dampener was I parked my car opposite and as close to the wall as I could and next day I had a note on the screen to move it, so as I turned it round to park in the car park I hit the wall, bit of a bummer :(
Perfect location - visited Salcombe and Dartmouth with ease from cottage. Cottage was perfect with everything we needed for a home from home stay. Thank you.
Great little holiday home. Easy to get local beaches and Kingsbridge town. Small but cosy house, well appointed kitchen and nice garden with barbecue. Second bedroom is very small and bathroom is a little bit run down hence the 4 stars instead of 5. All in all a lovely stay though.

great cosy cottage with lovely features!
We enjoyed a lovely short break in this cosy, well-equipped cottage. Fantastically located for exploring the local area including the beautiful towns of Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth. Also enjoyed taking the children to 'Woodlands' - adventure park ( nr Dartmouth) and also to The Ring O Bells (village pub) for dinner and a game of pool!

Thank you for your review - I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage.
Cute, comfortable getaway nestled in a quiet street that suited our needs. Hour and a half up Cornish border and an hour to Dartmoor where we had a lovely walk on the forest. Minutes away from Salcombe on the river and the beach. Well equipped kitchen, nice garden and plenty of hot water
The cottage was tired and we felt disappointed with the overall comfort.
However for young families with dogs it was ideal.

Not in Kingsbridge
Cottage is quaint. Unfortunately the cottage is a not in Kingsbridge as mentioned in the listing which meant driving in to Kingsbridge which we wanted to avoid.
Cosy, generally clean, some dust in places. Host left us some milk, bread etc which was appreciated. Good size for 2 of us.Garden is fully enclosed but there is 2 short gates either side of the door which you can't see in the photos & a trellis gate which you could see through. Didn't feel secure enough for us.Unless you get the parking space outside it's a bit tight for other cars to pass so a couple of times we parked in the community centre which wasn't an issue. It's still very close Good location for us
Property states itself as in Kingsbridge. It’s not. It’s in the next town. Says you can walk to Kingsbridge. You can’t. It’s a long walk on a difficult and hilly road. It’s says it has parking. It doesn’t. It’s a very hilly narrow lane way where if you park extremely close to a rock wall one car might be able to pass you but your car is at risk. We chose not to stay. Asked for a partial refund and the owner was not interested.

Lovely property, lot smaller than I thought it would be.
The property was smaller than I thought, but was manageable for us. Didn't realise pets were allowed, if I knew that I wouldn't have booked, but that was my mistake. It was clean enough, but places like on top of bed frame were dusty. Our bed was very comfy, but the kids bunk bed was terrible. There was springs poking out everywhere, even my 2 year old said it was uncomfortable. And every time my daughter moved on top bunk it squeaked loud. Maybe time to replace. There was a lovely welcome basket when we arrived which I thought was really nice. Other than the things mentioned it was a really lovely stay. And a very cosy cottage! If it wasn't for pets,I would've definitely returned.

Thank you for your response. We visited the cottage ourselves last weekend and noticed that the single beds were indeed uncomfortable, thank you for pointing this out, they will be replaced for next season. We also conducted a spring clean and can assure you that the cottage is looking spotless! We are about to extend the cottage (starting 1st October) so there will be a new kitchen and dining area at the rear of the property and new floors throughout the ground floor making it much more spacious! We're glad you had a good stay overall and with the changes being made, we do hope that this would encourage you to come and visit us next year.

Could have been better
Very bad start as owner hadn’t remembered our booking so the cottage had not been cleaned, linen changed etc. Took us about 90 minutes, including Verbo, to get hold of somebody to help. Someone did come round and clean the property about 2.5 hours after we arrived. The cottage itself is very nice and no complaints about it. Unfortunately the cottage next door had scaffolding erected and work going on so noisy at times and there was a dachshund constantly barking which was hugely frustrating. We both fell ill during the holiday which is clearly nobody’s fault but forced us to leave on the Thursday rather than the Saturday as planned. It’s a nice cottage in what I guess is a normally quiet area but this wasn’t an experience we would choose to go through again. Think we should have been warned about the work going on in the cottage next door as a minimum.
Niedliches kleines Cottage. Alles vorhanden, was man benötigt.
This was our first get away as a family. Perfect location for the classic Devon seaside towns, beaches with easy driving reach. The house was cosy with plenty of space.
Nice easy walk into Kingsbridge. Lovely lunch at The Crabshell Inn. Appreciated bread, butter , milk and hot x buns on our arrival. It was nice to find a dog bed in the lounge and also 2 dog bowls in kitchen as I had forgotten to pack mine. The garden was small but we were blessed with lovely weather and it was a nice place to sit in the morning sun. The shower was nice with good water pressure and the double bed very comfortable. Nothing negative to say apart from the fact that I didn’t like to park by cottage as wasn ’t keen on parking close to brick wall but it was not a problem as able to park in Village hall car park 2 minutes walk away
The cottage is great. Clean, great location and has everything you need for relaxation and day trips out. If you have children under the age of 10 the bunk beds are perfect but would be small for older children. We parked our car in the village hall car park as the road is quite narrow but it’s only a 30 second walk away . The log burner is great for the evenings and the tv has Amazon prime and Netflix so you can just log in. All in all very good 👍🏻
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pearl River Cottage. It was a home from home with all the mod cons. Particularly appreciated the washer dryer! Lovely garden. Comfortable bed.
