Stone house from 1904, completely renovated, modern and quality interior. Fenced and planted land. Close to Cahors and St Cirq Lapopie (elected most beautiful village in France in 2012).

THE POOL HAS BEEN OPERATING SINCE MAY 1.

Lean-to of 70M2 which can accommodate 2 cars, or to eat in the shade (covered barbecue).

Bedroom 1: 1 160 bed (quality bedding), 1 baby bed (on request), TV, air conditioning.

Living room: corner sofa, large 127 cm TV, DVD.

The 2500 m2 property is fully fenced and secured by a gate at the entrance.
This one is planted with fruit trees, honey trees, vines, lavender, as well as spices at your disposal (thyme, rosemary, sage, mint ...).
For 2 years now garden squares have been at your disposal, (strawberries, salads, tomatoes, zucchini, leeks, beets, parsley, basil, chives ....) serve yourself, it's for you.

We spent a glorious week here in mid October. It is the perfect place to explore this fabulous area. The accommodation occupies the top 2 floors of this well renovated house. The ground floor was empty so we had the entire place to ourselves (it might be worth checking if this is always the case.)The accommodation is spacious, well equipped and very clean and well presented. The furnishings and beds are comfortable and the lighting is very pleasing. There is a TV in each of the bedrooms and an extra large one in the living room, although the channels are limited as it is not a smart TV, which is a shame. The reason is that there is no Wi-Fi. If we had realised this we probably would not have booked here, and that would have been a real shame. We just bought more mobile phone data and that worked well for us. We always travel with our own entertainment downloaded onto USB so it was not a problem at all. The garden is lovely and has many outside seating areas.Lastly, and not least, Sophie was welcoming and friendly and eager to help with anything we needed.

Vacances agréables et reposantes

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances. La location est top : située dans un environnement calme et agréable, très bien équipée que ce soit à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur, une belle piscine et des zones bien ombragées. Les propriétaires sont vraiment très sympathiques, accueillants et bienveillants. De nombreuses choses à faire et à voir aux alentours, la voiture est indispensable. Séjour très agreavle

La maison est très jolie et bien équipée, il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour les enfants. Le jardin est très agréable. L’accueil des propriétaires est au top, ils sont très sympas et font tout pour que votre séjour se passe bien. La région est magnifique. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

This is a really nicely restored stone farmhouse set in picturesque and spacious grounds complete with swimming pool & access to fresh vegetables & herbs in the garden. The interior decor is modern with all facilities provided. The property was immaculately presented and very comfortable. The host family was very hospitable and helpful. This is the perfect destination for visitors looking for a restful stay in an idylic rural French setting. It greatly exceeded our epectations and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

French countryside, quiet and spaceous, family friendly, nature and good hospitality.

We spent 2 weeks in the house in Vers and we had a great time. Sophie and Jean Christophe are great hosts and made us feel welcome from the start. We liked the house very much. It is a classic "Quercy" house, well over a 100 years old, but Sophie and Jean brought it to today's standards with a modern interior and appliances. We felt at home and enjoyed the space around us. We are living in the Netherlands and we're not used to having so much space just for our family. Our favourite place was under the linden tree before the house, where I tied up my hammock and enjoyed shade during the day and a clear sky full of stars at night. The area is known for being very dark at night, so we were able to see many stars. We also liked the pool. It is a setup pool, so it looks less nice than a built in one, but for us (with 2 small children) we felt safe taking the ladder away after swimming. This way, the kids could roam around the house freely, without needing constant pool area supervision by us. It is of course dependent of the season, but we enjoyed the sight of many species of butterflies on the lavendel and butterfly bushes around the house. Also at night time, when the nocturnal ones started flying around the house. We were not bugged by mosquitoes however, so sitting outside at night enjoying a good glass of wine was a real joy. (The house does have screens against insects on most windows.) Location wise you need a car or otherwise motorized transport. Going by bike to either Vers or St Gery is possible (we did it on mountainbikes) but I would consider this doing a hefty sports routine, rather than just a relaxed trip to the bakery in the morning. If we would come back to the house, I think a strong e-bike could do the trick. (Blame me for being Dutch and wanting to ride a bike.. ;-) ) We had a good contact with Sophie and Jean-Christophe. They are very hospitable and explained the details of the house well. Jean comes early in the morning to tend to the pool and the vegetable garden (free to use for guests) but we hardly ever noticed him because we got up way later and he kept low profile doing his work. At day time, they would come to us and ask first if they had anything to do on the terrain. Never obtrusive, always relaxed. The house offers good privacy and we felt really free in our activities and did not worry about the kids making any noises. All in all highly recommended.

Superbe gite, très propre et très bien entretenu l'intérieur comme l'extérieur. Le plus, la tennis de table, la balançoire et le terrain de pétanque. Idéal famille avec des enfants. Les propriétaires nous ont très bien accueillis et sont très sympathique. A réserver sans hésiter!

Our stay at Pech Pichou was wonderful in all aspects.

Sophie is a wonderful host. She greeted us with a warm smile, a bottle of local wine, and homemade goodies. The house is outstanding. Within the renovated shell, we enjoyed the ultra-modern kitchen. We also enjoyed the quiet. Spphie was available to answer any questions. Highly recommended!

Tolles Ferienhaus und sehr frundliche Vermieter

Das Haus ist supper. Meine Frau fühlte sich am Pool etwas beobachtet, da der Zaun freien Blick zur Straßer erlaubte. Man sollt eine Matte davor stellen, damit wär man unbeobachtet am Pool.

Le bonheur est dans le Lot

Voici un très bel endroit où se ressourcer. Le gîte est on ne peut plus coquet, d'une propreté irréprochable, sur un site où seule la nature se fait entendre. En ce qui concerne les hôtes, Sophie et Jean-Christophe, s'il existait une Palme d'Or (Cannes oblige en cette période) il n'est pas à douter qu'ils seraient les détenteurs du Grand Prix. Gentillesse, disponibilité, simplicité... et la liste n'est pas exhaustive. Il est plus que certain que nous retournerons à Pech Picou et le plus vite sera le mieux.
